Two brothers /sisters /siblings are talking about the choice of a future profession
Student A. You are a beginning teacher / interpreter. You greatly enjoy your job, but you don’t
think it’s the best choice for your younger brother, who is leaving school this year. Talk with
your brother about the hardships connected with teaching / interpreting and advantages of this
job.
Student B. You are a school leaver. You are thinking of becoming a teacher of foreign languages
/an interpreter. Talk to your brother who works as a teacher at a secondary school / an
interpreter about his job.

Student A. You have just graduated from the University and received you diploma. You are at a
job interview. You want to get the position of a doctor in a modern clinic. Explain to the director
why you think you should be accepted.
Student B. You are the director of a very prestigious clinic and care a lot about its prestige. Ask
the applicant about his/her qualifications, previous experience, strengths and weaknesses.

Student A. You are an experienced teacher. You have attended a lesson taught by your
colleague, a beginning teacher. The lesson wasn’t a success.
- Some students were not prepared
- Two of the students walked around the classroom and refused to cooperate.
- Three students were late for the lesson.
- The teacher kept working with half of the class, while the other half were idle.
Have a talk with the beginning teacher about the problems she faced at the lesson and work out
possible solutions.
Student B. You are a newly qualified teacher. Your colleague has attended the lesson you have
taught. You are not satisfied with the lesson.
