IIIT Pune was established in 2016 and since then, the institution has witnessed
remarkable growth in academic excellence. With the aim of being deemed as one of
the most prominent educational institutes, we render the best of resources to our
students to turn them into superior scholars and responsible members of the
society. IIIT Pune set a benchmark for the emerging institutes by placing its first
batch (of 2020) in esteemed companies with excellent packages.

We, at IIIT Pune, are diligent in meeting the industrial needs in the most fitting ways
through our student force. The institution promotes Entrepreneurship by supporting
the students’ calibre to curate ideas and blend them with innovation to create
authentic products and offer unequivocal services. The initiative of students to set
up an E-Cell while committing themselves to build a business-oriented ecosystem
for the future techpreneurs is commendable. It takes a support system to achieve
visible transformation. As the E-Cell committee takes it upon itself to act as the
spine for the aspiring entrepreneurs, I extend my complete support to their team.
The spirit of entrepreneurship must be cultivated and the institute intends to
inculcate this in the upcoming opportunities we harbour.

In view of this, E-Cell at IIIT Pune comes forth with its second event - Hackathon. The
young minds bear intriguing ideas to make our lives yet more convenient. We are
fortunate to get this opportunity to provide them a platform to showcase their
intellect and create products to implement those ideas.

We believe that cognitive thinking cannot be achieved by rote learning and

academic brilliance alone. The institute takes efforts to acknowledge this pivotal
factor. IIIT Pune is inclined towards offering modes of self-exploration among
students in every possible aspect. In front of us lies untapped potential waiting to be
explored and channelled into enterprising actions proving to be critical assets to the
nation.

The Entrepreneurship Cell of IIIT Pune is a society of aspiring entrepreneurs

committed towards making India the strongest economy in the world. E-Cell

IIIT Pune is a non-profit organization that aims to create a business-oriented

ecosystem for future techpreneurs.

We believe that 'Think', 'Innovate', 'Sell' and 'Prosper' are the four fundamental

elements of a successful startup. One's ability to think of exceptional ideas

and turn them into viable products with their innovative mindset forms the

backbone of one’s product while selling the same in the market. Eventually,

prosperity chases back.

At IIIT Pune, we believe that a problem is big until the brilliant minds of the

country do not ponder over it. Through this E-Cell, we desire to provide a

platform to turn ideas into reality and ensure that these ideas do not go

Designing software based products with accurate amounts of

innovation, design and user-friendly techniques to solve the given

problems is the gist of any Hackathon. We are glad to offer you an

opportunity to connect with like-minded people and combine your

enthusiasm levels to come up with authentic software solutions.

We want you to put your ideas into action and all the more, enhance

your problem-solving skills. This event aims to help you develop an

RULEBOOK

Participation Criteria

There can be 1-4 members in one team.

Members of a team can be from the same as well as different

years and colleges

Anyone who is enrolled in UG/PG course in any

college/university across the world is eligible to participate.

General Rules

The event will be conducted in two rounds

Top solutions in Round 1 will qualify for Round 2 which is the

50-hour hackathon

The submission of Round 1 must be in the specified format only.

There is no restrictions on the technologies you use for

developing

Plagiarism of any type will not be entertained

The decision made by the judges and the organizing committee

will be considered final.

RULEBOOK

Round 1 :

SUBMIT YOUR APPROACH (18-06-2021 to 20-06-2021)

In this round, you will be expected to submit your approach to

the problem statement which you will receive in your mail on

June 18 at 12:00 AM.

Round 2 :

THE 50-HOUR HACKATHON (25-06-2021 11:00 HRS IST)

In the 50-hour hackathon, you will have to code your proposed

solution approach to make it work.

There will be judging and mentoring sessions during the

Hackathon and your solution will be under continuous

evaluation

Do not come up with the initial codebase. All the code

development should be done in the 50 hours duration only

All other details will be mailed directly to the qualifying teams.
