Divine Sunderer Akali
Nejc “TotallyNotNejc” Debenak
With Divine Sunderer buffs I began thinking what other champions could use the item. Akali seemed
like a great candidate since she wants sustain, auto attacks after abilities and has decent attack
damage ratios.
Her other common mythic items are Hextec Rocketbelt, Nigh Harvester and Rfitmaker. Because
Divine Sunderer plays similarly to Riftmaker (anti tank passives, healing) I decided to compare those
two the most. I included Nigh Harvester in some of my tests but they play out completely differently
so it’s harder to compare.
Combo tests
Here are the results of the practice tool testing. Every item was used to its max potential. Night
Harvester had a stack available on every dummy, with Riftmaker I waited after the first Q so it got its
passive fully stacked and Divine Sunderer was proced with every passive hit. Sheen and Hextec
Alternator were also used every time they could be.
Every Dummy has 1000 HP, 20 MR and 20 armor.
In all builds Akali had Dorans Ring and later with completed Mythic, Sorcerer’s Shoes.
Akali was level 6, with 3 points into Q and 1 point in other abilities.
Runes:
Combos used:
1. Q
2. Passive
3. E1 + E2 + Passive
4. R1 + R2
Leeching Leer:
1. 132 damage
2. 118
3. 325
4. 189
Sheen:
1. 119
2. 172
3. 353
4. 175
Hextec Alternator:
1. 199
2. 122
3. 389
4. 255
Riftmaker
1. 187
2. 162
3. 500
4. 299
Divine Sunderer
1. 164
2. 284
3. 522
4. 217
Night Harvester
1. 333
2. 293
3. 613
4. 470
I also added Demonic Embrace and Zhonya’s Hourglass but the values between items stayed
relatively the same. If I added stats to the dummy as well to more accurately demonstrate scaling
Divine Sunderer should be dealing more damage due to its Mythic passive and max HP damage.
Max damage test and healing
I tried to do as much damage to the dummy as I could in shortest time. I often play Akali but I’m only
diamond (sometimes) so this could probably be executed faster, procing both items less. But I also
proced
Combo I used: Q + P + E1 + E2 + P + Q + W + P + R1 + P + R2 + P
I attempted that a few times and results, when combo was executed correctly, were always the
same. Healing numbers are calculated based on damage delt to the Dummy (Riftmaker total
damage, Divine Sunderer proc damage).
Riftmaker: 2498 damage, 200 healing
Divine Sunderer: 2594 damage, 195 healing
Divine Sunderer (dummy 2000HP): 2894 damage, 390 healing (proced twice)
I also used a brand new web site that demonstrates this (Riftmaker left, Divine Sunderer right):

Winrate
Divine Sunderer isn’t being played on Akali at all currently (48 games in plat+ this patch). I used
lolalytics for this research. Here are some instances where it was built:
● Patch 11.11: 254 games in plat+, 50% winrate outperformed only by Hextec Rocketbelt with
51.69% winrate
● Patch 11.1: 523 games in plat+, 50.67% winrate. Highest winrate out of all Mythic items that
patch
There were less than 100 games with Divine Sunderer in all other patches this season.
Conclusion
Divine Sunderer is a better item on Akali than Riftmaker. It has better build path, mixed damage,
more damage, more healing, more durability, better Mythic passive and better winrate. It is fair to
note that damage is transitioned more towards auto attacks and abilities do a bit less. Item is also
100 gold more expensive.
In my opinion Divine Sunderer should be the go-to item to build on Akali with Hextec Rocketbelt
being a good option against a lot of squishy enemies.
