Stephen, a college student from England, was interested in meeting Cape Verde.

For having
a friend of Cape Verdean descent, who spoke very well of the country, he decided to visit it.
But he had never made an international trip so he contacted a Cape Verde travel agency.

CALLING ON

S- Good morning, my name is Stephen, I’m calling from England. It’s my first travel to Cape
Vert so could you give me any information?

A- Hy, I’m the represent of Economic-class tour. How can i help you? -asked the travel
agente.

S-What i need to do Sr.?

A- You´re english so, you needn’t the VISA. Only your ticket, passaport, ID and bagages-.

S- Fantastic! I would like to buy a ticket in a week, if it’s possible. And I need a personal
guide too.

A- Send me your data, please?

S- All right, I will. Bye Bye.

A- Alaways here.

(...) CALLING OFF

after the call, the agent contacted a guide from the agency to accompany Stephen on
his tour.
  A week later, when Stephen arrived in Santo Antão, he searched for the travel agency that
he hired.

S- Oh my god! I´m feeling like an alien, here. Let me use my GPS - said Stephen.

After 5 minutes looking for the street, his GPS showed him where it was. Stephen knocks on a
door and walks in.

S -Helloo, I’m Stephen. I talked to you last week, before I travel to Cape Vert.

A-Please, have a sit. How was it the trip? – asked the agent.

S- Very nice, thanks!

A- Hold on a minute. Let me call your personal guide.


S- Okay, i wait.

Ten minutes later, Nuno arrives at the agency, tired of running so hard.

N- Excuse me, sorry I’m late, like always.

S- Don’t worry. – said Stephen.

N- So, when can we start the tour?

S- For me, now!

N- Fine. Today we will visit the “Planalto leste”.

S- Let’s go!

After an hour's drive, they arrived.

N- Here we can watch a very type of trees. This is one of the most beautiful landscapes on
this island.! – Exclaimed Nuno.

S- Oh yes, this is beautiful. It smells like Christmas!


N- It’s because of the pine trees.

After the tour, Nuno and Stephen returned to Povoação.

S- Oh man, I’m tired. I'm not used to this.

N- Tomorrow, we will go to “topo de Coroa”, the tallest point of the island.

S- I’m so excited. Nice to meet you!

N-! Ok, See you tomorrow. Me too.

S- Good bye

N- Bye!
