VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN
We all come across with the word violence in our life but have you ever wondered where this
word originated from?? What is the origin of this word ?so, firstly we will discuss what is
violence? The word violence mean the intentional use of physical force like hurt, abuse , destroy
and damage and physical power against another person, group or community. Violence originate
from the most aged trances of violence that have been found are those resulting from the practice
of cannibalism. Violence is a serious violation of human rights of women and it takes a heavy
payment on physical health and mental health.. Both men and women can victims as well as
offender of violence the feature of violence are most commonly apply against women differ in
critical respect from violence commonly apply against men . Men were murder or harmed in
battle or youth and square related violence than women and they are likely to be physically
assaulted or murder on the street by someone. Violence against women has many profile around
the world. Men are also likely to be offender of violence in any case of sex of the sufferer. As I
said earlier that women are likely to be physically assaulted or murder on the street by someone
they know. They are also at risk of being sexually assaulted either in youth or as adults . The
range from female murder and the custom of historical mutilation at adolescence to domestic
violence in marriage and elder abuse. Women are in danger of different type of violence at
different moments in their life . Violence against women is classified by fact that as in domestic
abuse and forced prostitution it is often long term. Crimes against women have been increasing
over the year. Every hour women face cruelty at home and more than 3 molestation cases are
reported. Cases of sexual harassment are recorded increasingly in recent years. VAW is a clear
showing the subordinate social rank occupied by women and girls. In India society is assemble
around rigid gender roles, which prescribe what women, men can and cannot do. Violence
against women is used as tool to underpin and maintain gender rules as weapon b to punish
women who misbehave them. Another cause for growing trend of violence against women is
immunity, lack of social and failure to implement existing legislations. Women are often lost by
their family e for speaking out against abuse. The change period has been characterized by many
pat that may effect level of violence against women .The grow in penury , unemployment,
income inequality, tension and adult morality. The common level of violence appears to have
grown notably during transition in the countries surveyed . The rise in reported Crime and
homicide, the peak of violence behavior, strongly suggest all kinds of violence have increased in
the societies, including violence against women. Domestic violence is a private matter Andrea
only some women experience it. Domestic violence abuses are alcoholics and drug addicts.
Sexual violence against women has many myths. Women make sexual assault allegations out of
spite take revenge. Women invite sexual assault by the way their dress and behave. Crime
against women in each category are rising over the years. Many crimes against women goes and
reported. Children are rarely abused and child sexual abuse does not happen in Indian families
they commonly abusers are someone else like drivers, servant, domestic helpers. The laws
relating to violence themselves constitute the barrier against justice for women. In the aimless
environment off the transaction additional forms of violence have arisen in the region Armed
conflict in Balkans and many places that have brought further violence against women both
during and after periods of fighting. In some case physical, sexual and psychological violence
against women is carried out by the state. Women and children become unsafe to violence during
wars and conflict. Violence against women during dispute and displacement appears to inflame
by the general growth in violence and fall down off order. Violence against women has serious
cost and outcome not just for the sole men even so for the coterie society as a whole. The
reaction of the violence have larger ranging social cost that cannot be e measured . Violence
conduct to health damage, physically and emotionally. It causes fear, use of self confidence. It
destruction autonomy and prevents those affected from feeling free and safe . Violence against
women is one of the wide violation of human rights in the present world and a substantial barrier
to women’s equality. Women do not speak about the violence out of shame fear and public often
through a ill made sense of what is private turns away it’s gaze . Violence against women takes
many forms for a range of measures – obstruction, immediate and long-term . The extensive
nature of this formulation of women’s human rights required equally border response aimed at
changing the outlook of individual the criminal justice system and the development of public
policy.
