Bluetooth Requirements (New)

The document outlines testing requirements and technical documentation needed to approve a Bluetooth device in Argentina. It requests two samples of the device including batteries and an SMA connector for testing. It lists specific Bluetooth parameters that must be tested including conducted power output, hopping bandwidth, unwanted emissions, and power density. The document also requests documentation like block diagrams, schematics, data sheets, instructions, and specifications. Compliance with the listed considerations is required for the samples and testing.

Bluetooth Homologation & Testing Requirements

Notes:

Technical documents and information:

All technical documents and information listed in the attached forms shall be provided with the purchase
order or before it. It is manufacturer’s responsibility to fulfill all and any request of technical information,
to comply with ENACOM data requirements.

In case that an eventual trip is necessary to make personal presentations, the related costs may be
charged to the client.

List of required technical documents, testing software, instructions and ancillaries for Bluetooth
device approval:

- Two samples of the device for conducted testing, including batteries (If applicable). The
antenna connector cable adapter shall be an SMA type male, to be plugged to test equipment.

- Test software, allowing testing of the following conducted parameters:

a. Peak Conducted Power Output (for channels 37; 38 & 39)

b. Hopping channel bandwidth (to be tested for channels 37; 38 & 39)
c. Undesired Emissions
d. Number of hopping channels
e. Edge hopping frequencies (with continuous Tx reading Fo at channel 37 and 39)
f. Time of occupancy/Dwell time

-The test and the samples shall comply with the following considerations:

a. The lab would select the modulation/Tx data rates /bandwidth / or any other parameter controlled
by the test software, in accordance to the functional values which might be representative for the
measurements.

b. Conducted transmitting power output:

Attributed Band Limits

[MHz] [W] [dBm]
2400-2483,5 1 -

c. Bandwidth:

At 2.4GHz shall be greater than 500Kz measured at 6dB under maximum power output.

d. Undesired emissions outside the frequency bands in operation, must be 20 dB attenuated
compared to the maximum output power.

e. Power density

Attributed Band Limits Spectral Resolution

[MHz] [dBm] [MHz]
2400-2483,5 8 0,003

- RF Module Block diagram.

- Wireless Module Schematic circuit.

- Wireless Module Datasheet.

- All the samples shall include an antenna connector with a cable adapter SMA type male, to be
plugged to test equipment.

- If the samples need a debugging board (interface) of any type (PCB type) to achieve compatibility
between the sample and the test instrument (spectrum analyzer) or between the sample and a PC,
this Interface will be supplied together with the samples..

- For lights provided properly with SMA type connector at the RF antenna output, if this connector
has an AC voltage, the test can’t be carried out because it could result in the test instrument to get
damaged.

- In order to proceed under this circumstance, an adequate procedure shall be supplied (with sample
pictures) indicating the right DC voltages to be supplied (indicating in which specific zone of the PCB
these voltages must be applied), so that the sample can operate under continuous mode.

- Detailed instructions for test setup and directions to manage the test software.

- Operational description.

- Commercial leaflet / brochure.

- Internal photos.

- External photos.
