** EXTERIOR WALKAROUND INSPECTION AND SERVICING**

FUSELAGE LOWER HALF:

1 Make a general visual inspection of the lower half of the fuselage as far as visible from the
ground, With particular attention to any missing or loose fasteners/rivets. Any related finding
outside the AMM or SRM limit needs to be corrected before flight
CARGO COMPARTMENT
2 Open FWD and AFT cargo doors and inspect internally the compartment for existing and
proper positioning of seal among cargo panels.

3 Make a general visual inspection of the upper half of the fuselage as far as visible from the
ground, With particular attention to any missing or loose fasteners/rivets. Any related finding
outside the AMM or SRM limit needs to be corrected before flight
FUSELAGE TAIL SECTION, STABILIZERS AND TAIL CONE:

Make a general visual inspection of the stabilizers and cone/rear fuselage as far as
visible from the ground.
POWERPLANT, NACELLES AND PYLONS:
REF. AMM:05-24-00-200-001, Zone: 400
5 Make a general visual inspection of the power plant with nacelles and pylon as far as visible
from the ground, With particular attention to any missing or loose fasteners/rivets. Any related
finding outside the AMM or SRM limit needs to be corrected before flight
DOORS:

Make a general visual inspection of all doors, as far as visible from the ground. Make
sure that there are no signs of corrosion, cracks or damage.

Make a general visual inspection of the wings as far as visible from the ground, With particular
attention to any missing or loose fasteners/rivets. Any related finding outside the AMM or

DRAIN FUEL TANKS:

Drain all tanks free of water content.
LANDING GEAR AND LANDING GEAR DOORS:

Make a general visual inspection of the landing gear and the landing gear doors as far
as visible from the ground.
TIRES, WHEELS & BRAKES INCLUDING:
REF. MS: 324227-01-1, AMM 32-41-00-210-002 , Zone: 700
Do a general visual inspection of the Tires, Wheels and Brakes.
a- Check tires for wear see TASK 32-41-00-210-001

b- With the Green and Yellow Hydraulic systems pressurized and the parking brake
on, check for hydraulic leaks, check the heat pack wear indicators, make sure that the
wear indicators are within limits as per AMM 32-42-27-210-001.
c- Check Brake Temp Senser connectors for serviseability and security.
TIRE PRESSURES:
REF. AMM 12-14-32-614-001/32-41-00-210-003, M/S: 324100-01-1, Zone: 210
Check NLG and MLG tires for correct pressure, and service as necessary. Record tire
pressures in table (1) below, and in the Technical Log Book.

12 Check hydraulic fluid quantity – service as necessary.

ENGINE OIL SERVICING:
CRITICAL TASK RII
A REINSPECTION IS REQUIRED TO CHECK THE OIL CAPS FOR PROPER
CLOSING. AFTER SERVICING, THE CRS SHOULD PHISICALLY VERIFY
TO ENSURE ENGINE OIL SERVICING CAP IS SECURELY FASTENED. IN
CASE OF AVAILABILITY OF ONE MECHANIC ONLY ,HE HAS TO
PERFORM A RE-INSPECTION AND TO ADD ANOTHER ENTRY IN LOG
SHEET AFTER RE-INSPECTION
Service engine oil level to full. Ensure engine oil tank filler cap is properly secured
15 after servicing. Verify all Servicing access doors are closed and securily fastened. And
in the Tehnical Log Book.

stowed.

19 Check PFR for presence of defects (cockpit effects/faults) and rectify or analyse as
necessary (Review repetitive items with SDS).

EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT, INCLUDING:
a- Check flight (cockpit & cabin) crew life vests for presence and condition.
b- Check each passenger seat life vest for presence and condition.
c- Ensure the Emergency Exit Rows seat backs are fitted with properly functioning tray
table latches. Rectify/replace as required
d- Check the tamper seal/serviceability indication on all PBE’s.
e-Visually check portable oxygen bottles for correct pressure (1500 PSI) and proper

stowage.
f- Check Portable Fire Extinguishers pressure gauge reading, if indication is not in
green sector, replace fire extinguisher.
g- Check that all emergency equipment are in place and in good condition.
h- Check the Photoluminescent Strip of the Floor-Proximity Emergency-Escape Path-
Marking for general condition, obvious damage, cleanliness, and security.

Perform systematically Aircraft Security Sealing during night stop.
A) IFA/C HAS NO SCHEDULED FLIGHTS FOR MORE THAN 24 HRS
CARRY OUT THE FOLLOWING:
1) Drain the potable water system if necessary ref AMM 12-24-38-680-001
2)Close all the lavatory and galley manual shutoff -valves
3)Close all the potable water drain and fill drain valves
4)Pressurize the potable water system ref AMM 38 10 00 614 001
5)Remove the remaing water from the potable water system
6)Install the applicable protection equipment on all the probes,Engines&APU ref AMM

7)Toilet system drain ,flush and clean the system with disinfectant if necessary ref
AMM 12 16 38 613 001.
8)Make an entry in log book or attach a tag on the captain side stick to tell the crew that
protection covers/devices are installed.
9)Make sure that all external connections are disconnected from aircraft

10)Close the FWD&AFT cargo doors ref AMM 52 30 00 860 004.
11)Close the bulk cargo door if installed ref AMM 52-30-00-860-008.
12)Close passenger/crew doors ref AMM 52-10-00-410-001.
13)Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment ,the special&standard tools
and all other items.
14) Disconnect the batteries 2PB1 & 2PB2 ref AMM 24 38 51 000 001.
B)IF A/C HAS NO SCHEDULED FLIGHTS FOR MORE THAN ONE WEEK
CONTACT MEA CAMO FOR FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS.
C)ENSURE THAT A/C IS RETURNED BACK TO NORMAL FLIGHT READY
CONFIGURATION BEFORE NEXT FLIGHT,PARTICULAR ATTENTION
THAT ALL COVERS HAVE BEEN REMOVED AND RETURNED TO THE
STOWAGE BAG IN AVIONICS BAY.
TECH. LOG BOOK ENTRY:
MAKE SURE ALL STEPS OF THIS INSPECTION CHECKLIST (ES/224) ARE
COMPLETED, UPLIFTS AND TIRE PRESSURES ARE RECORDED ON TLS,
ALL ACCESS PANELS, SERVICE DOORS, AND ENGINE COWLINGS ARE
27 SECURED, AIRCRAFT IS RETURNED TO NORMAL CONFIGURATION,
WORK WAS PERFORMED IN ACCORDANCE WITH APPLICABLE
STATEMENT BELOW, THEN CERTIFY DAILY CHECK IN TLB.
IN CONJUNCTION WITH THIS CHECK, ENSURE THAT TRANSIT CHECK
IS ALSO PERFORMED
