Measures and Objectives

A security lock is applied to some functions (MUTL) to address the following
concerns.
1 A user changes the settings by accidentally operating the RU PC
1. PC-TOOL.
TOOL
2. Someone other than the engineers with formal training operates the RU PC
TOOL and changes the settings.
* In either case, our reading device may not function properly.
There are no changes made in functions and operation of the RU PC-TOOL
besides working on the registration of the security unlocking key file.
Method for Unlocking the Security Lock
The function can be made available by installing the security unlocking key file
distributed by FTYO into the designated location in the PC.
The security unlocking key file is valid for one year (from July 1 to June 30 of the

following year). The new release file
f will be released with ECN to be issued in
April every year.
Each FSE needs to update the security unlocking key file for the service PC or the
console PC using the RU PC

Details
To use the “MUTL” as a RU PC-TOOL function, register a security unlocking key file, distributed
separately, in the PC (service PC or console PC) using the RU PC-TOOL according to the specified
procedure.

Implementation starts with the RU PC-TOOL V6.0. Appropriate combinations of
the PC-TOOLs
PC TOOLs and each reading device will be announced in the future ECN.
ECN
・PC-TOOL V6.0 is required in the case of using the MC software V14 for the DR
cassette.
・For any other devices, PC-TOOL V6.0 is required when Windows 10 OS is used.
* Even under the Windows 7 environment, however, actively promote this

The new security unlocking key file will be provided with ECN to be issued in
April every year. The next distribution will be in April 2017.
PC TOOL V6.0
PC-TOOL V6 0 is found in the medium of the corresponding RU software
software.
The key file valid until June 30, 2017 is also included for the first time only.
