Acquisition
Activities:
Pre – lesson 1. Pupils sing the song entitled “Days in a Week”.
2. Basic communication skills:
- What day is today? Tomorrow will be …. Yesterday was ….
3. Teacher plays Find Something- Teacher says ‘Find something red’, and pupils go to touch something red in the
classroom. Then, pick one of the pupils to write the colour words on the board.
Lesson Delivery 4. Pupils sit in small groups. Give each group some letters (bottle cap). Call out a letter; pupils have to try to grab
the correct letter. They keep it if they grab it first.
5. Next, tell pupils a colour word. They should work together to try to spell it using the letters they have. They can
use the words on the board to help.
6. Pupils do the exercises in the workbook on page 5.

Post Lesson 7. Pupils see the Student’s Book picture page 4. Give them 1 minute to look at the picture and remember what’s in
it. Ask them to close their books. Hide the picture if you are not using the textbook. Make true/false statements.
