II. INTRODUCTION
Samar National School has recently conducted its First Quarter Portfolio Day for school year
2021-2022. The Portfolio Day highlighted the outputs of Junior High School and Senior High School
students.
III. NARRATIVE REPORT AND SUMMARY OF ACCOMPLISHMENT
Samar National School’s Portfolio Day was divided into two (2) sessions in order to avoid
overcrowding and maintain social distancing as one of the strict protocol of IATF. The morning
session was for the Junior High School, while the afternoon session was intended for the Senior High
School Department, namely, Grade 11 and 12.
The Portfolio Day of Senior High School Department started at 1 o’clock in the afternoon,
with the preliminary activities. This was followed by a welcome message of the Senior High School
Assistant Department Head and Master Teacher I, Mrs. Gwen Maria M. Severo.
Afterwards, the awarding of the Outstanding Parents for Grade 11 and 12 was conducted,
headed by the School Principal, Mrs. Ruth D. Cabanganan. Finally, the program ended with an
inspirational and very informative message given by Mrs. Ruth D. Cabanganan, the Secondary School
Principal IV of Samar National School.
Right after the program proper, the parents and teacher-advisers proceeded to their
designated rooms to conduct the parents-teacher conference. During the conference, the following
agenda were discussed by the teacher-adviser comprehensively:
1. Learning Delivery Modalities
2. Grading System
3. Issues and Concerns in the distribution and retrieval of modules, submission of outputs
4. Limited Face-to-Face
5. Other advisory concerns.
The teacher-adviser has finally distributed the report cards of her students to their parents,
as well as the certificates of recognition for the class’ Top Performing Students.
IV. MAJOR PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED
The conduct of Portfolio Day was successful. However, one of the challenges of this home-
based enrollment is the limited rooms or space for the conference since there are a huge number of
students in Senior High School Department.
Given the aforementioned challenges, the teachers decide to alternately use the available
rooms for their respective conference and distribution of cards.
