MATERIALS AND PROCEDURE IN BARRICADING THE SITES


PROTECTION OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC WITHIN VICINITY

A. PURPOSE
The purpose of this procedure is to establish minimum standard requirements for the
regulation of entry/exit into areas that may contain specific safety, health, or environmental
hazards and to provide a warning that such hazards may be present.

B. TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT

B.1 SAFETY EQUIPMENT: TOOLS:


1. B.I. Pipe 1. Wrench
2. Corrugated Sheet fence1.8m x 3m 2. Pliers
3. Plain Sheet fence 1.8m x 2m 3. Hammer
4. C-Clamp
5. Angle Bar
6. Concrete Blocks

B.2 SIGNAGES
1. 12 Life Saving Rules 6. Pardon our dust as we build future
2. Complete PPE (Man) 7. Danger men at work
3. No Trespassing 8. Red Zone
4. Danger hard hat required in this area 9. Service Gate
5. Notice Construction on-going 10. Delivery Gate

C. PROCEDURE:
1. Toolbox meeting at warehouse and Mobilization at site
2. Secure and discuss Work Clearance Form and Job Hazard Analysis prior to start the work.
3. Conduct toolbox talk regarding to activity and hazard as specified at the WCF
4. Preparation of work area ( site clearing )
5. Preparation of tools, equipment and specific signage to be use
6. Lay outing and markings where you put the barricade
7. Put a B.I. pipe with a hook that has a depth of 1 feet as a post or put in a concrete block
8. Place the corrugate fence with the hook lock, be sure is not moving.
9. Use another B.I. pipes as a brace in triangle position and put C-clamp to make the fence firm
10. Finally put the specific signage outside of the corrugated temporary fence
11. Housekeeping ( checking all tools and equipment used before putting back on warehouse)
