Vowel Sounds (Bunyi Vokal)
There are six vowels in Malay :
Terdapat enam vokal dalam bahasa Melayu :
1. A : pronounced as ‘are’ or ‘ar’
2. E (taling) : pronounced as ‘ay’
3. E (pepet) : pronounced as ‘er’
4. I : pronounced as ‘i’
5. O : pronounced as ‘or’
6. U : pronounced as ‘u’

There are twenty-one vowels in Malay :
