ABSTRACT

With the development of science and technology, digital

painting has further narrowed the distance between artists and
viewers. In this paper, research on the application of digital art
in traditional painting and analyze its artistic form. The
interactive nature of digital technology enables more timely
information transfer between the creator and the audience. By
combining digital technology with traditional art, artists can
broaden their horizons and improve their painting standards,
which further deepen their understanding of the laws and
essence of fine arts. In the process of the creation of digital
painting, artists need create real art by constantly strengthening
their creative ideas.

Introduction
With the rapid development of digital technology in the new century, the field of
painting art ushered in a new look. Digital painting as a new form of visual art, has
become the mainstream of the current art of painting and can be widely used in a
variety of areas. With the art market of commercial and popular development
trend, digital painting has ushered in its new development opportunity. At the
same time, the various forms of digital painting as a new cultural phenomenon in
5
recent years, not only showing its unique characteristics of digital painting, more
importantly, it is the new era of artistic ideas of innovation and social culture. As
the art of digital painting is a form of time soon, the current ideological
construction and theoretical level are not very high. Art theory is not a lot of
attention to it. At present, the research results at home and abroad are mostly
about the computer technology, ignoring the deep theoretical research on the art
of digital painting. The diverse folk art traditions of this ethnically diverse country form the
foundation of its rich heritage and are more than just an important part of its culture.

Some people in the art community see technology as a threat to originality and
are concerned that it will replace traditional artmaking. This idea can certainly be
worrisome for some artists and art institutions like museums and galleries who
rely heavily on traditional works.Of course, not all artists have the same opinion
on the subject. Some traditional artists are receptive towards digital art. Others
see digital art as: “Computer, draw me a person,” and a portrait suddenly appears
on their computer screen. This is certainly not how digital artists work most of the
time…

6
It is true that while the traditional commercial industry medium is physical art, a
large part of it has turned to digital media. Still, galleries, museums and auctions
houses still see a lot of value and profit in traditional works.

Many people want a “real” painting on their walls. And it is in fact, a different
experience that digital art can’t quite recreate yet.

Just like traditional artists, digital artists employ the same kind of skills but just
with different tools. Using a computer to draw does not lessen the effort involved
in creating art; it is simply done in a different manner from what many are used
to.

Conclusion
Painting can be learned with or without electronic devices. It can help

increase your experience when done right. Traditional methods can be

combined and enhanced with digital painting. You can develop your

artistic skills in traditional or digital painting, although stepping into the

7
digital world will help you learn color manipulation and lighting

better. The art of digital painting came into being due to the emergence

of computer science and technology, and it must develop due to the

development of computer technology. Its performance of
contemporary cultural heritage and its artistic value will be more public
attention and research.
