1 Overview

Huawei LTE CPE B5328-155 is an LTE wireless gateway that allows multiple users to
connect to the Internet over wired or wireless connections.
It complies with 3GPP Release 10 and supports data services, Wi-Fi services, security
services, DHCP services, and management services.

4 Services and Applications

4.1 Data Services

After the USIM card is inserted, the B5328-155 can automatically connect to the Internet
through an LTE network to provide high-speed data services.

4.1.1 LAN Port

The local computer can connect to the Ethernet through the LAN port. Alternatively, devices
(for example, a mobile phone) can connect to the Ethernet through the WLAN port on the
B5328-155.

4.2 Security Services

The B5328-155 provides security services such as firewalls and a PIN protection mechanism.

4.2.1 Firewall
The B5328-155 provides the firewall to prevent unauthorized access.

4.2.2 MAC Filtering

The B5328-155 supports network access restriction by MAC address.

4.2.3 IP Address Filtering

The B5328-155 supports network access restriction by IP address.

4.2.4 URL Filtering

The B5328-155 supports network access restriction by URL address.

4.2.5 Forwarding by Using the DMZ

The B5328-155 supports forwarding packets to the local end over the DMZ.

4.2.6 UPnP
The B5328-155 supports UPnP to forward encapsulated packets to the local end through a
fixed port.

4.2.7 PIN Code Protection

The B5328-155 provides PIN code protection. If PIN code protection is enabled, users must
enter the correct PIN code each time they log in to the web management page. PIN codes are
user configurable.

5 System Architecture

Figure 5-1 shows the B5328-155 system architecture.

The B5328-155, an indoor LTE CPE UE, accesses the Internet through the LTE base station.
It allows user access through the wired or wireless connection.
 Wired connection through the RJ45 port: Terminals can connect to the B5328-155
through the Ethernet port to access the LAN or LTE networks. The data service can reach
a high speed of 1000 Mbit/s.
 Wireless connection through the WLAN port: The B5328-155 provides a WLAN port
compliant with IEEE 802.11b/g/n for wireless access.
