Why is the face of Jose Rizal put on the peso?

All Filipinos can hold a Philippine peso, whether they are old or young because this is where the

curiosity of each of us comes in, such as: "Who is Rizal?", "Why is Rizal on the peso?", "What

did Rizal do?". Those are just some of the questions we have as to why until now, we only

recognize Rizal's name; we only recognize him on his birthday. Why might Rizal's contributions

to our nation gradually lose their impact on other people's minds?

You can find out how Rizal's accomplishments have become neglected here, and it seems as

though all his efforts for our nation have lost all significance, based on the film I watched, "Rizal:

Ang tao sa piso," which inspired this article. It hurts to think about it, but there are only a few

Rizal’s now. The gap between Rizal's time and the current time is so far that they still need to

remember the custom Rizal showed when he was still alive. Let's start with today's youth; we can

see in the child that they did not have the manners of Rizal when he was alive. If there is, it is very

little. For example, they are always dependent on their parents and need to be told or ordered before

helping with household chores. Was Rizal there, then? No, Rizal was helpful to his parents.

Second, they seem to care about something other than Dr. Jose Rizal - our hero. They spend more

time playing on the computer than researching their heroes or studying for their exams. Lastly,

today's youth have no respect for elders; sometimes, they disobey their orders and even answer.

Here you can see how much Filipinos' "love" for Rizal is fading as one of the proudest of our

country. It also doesn't imply that Rizal's declining worth is why the Philippine Peso bears his

name. This reason had no meaning many years ago, especially at the peak of nationalism and

awareness of Rizal's great value. His portrait already had an engraving on the peso. He is on the
Philippine peso for the people who will never forget him and will always remember his deeds and

his value in the history of the Philippines.
