Andhra Pradesh Prisons Financial Powers Amendment

The Government of Andhra Pradesh issued an order amending the delegation of financial powers to regional prison officers. Specifically, the order increases the limit for sanctioning estimates for prison works from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 10,000 for each type of work. This amendment was proposed by the Director General and Inspector General of Prisons and Correctional Services based on letters sent between 2007-2008 requesting increased financial authority. O R D E R:

In the circumstances reported by the Director General and


Inspector General of Prisons and Correctional Services, Andhra Pradesh,
Hyderabad, in his letters second to fifth read above, Government after
careful consideration of the proposals, hereby decided to amend the
delegation of financial powers issued in G.O.Ms.No. 522, Home
(Prisons.A) Department, dated 30-08-1986:-

AMENDMENT

In the Annexure to the said orders Serial No.10, against the item
“sanction of estimates for works” for the expression, “Rs.5,000/- for each
type of work”, the following shall be substituted namely:-

“Rs.10,000/- for each type of work”


This order issues with the concurrence of Finance (TFR-I)
Department vide their U.O.No.25108/372/A1/TFR-I/2008, dated
16-10-2008.
