NOTICE
Dated: 17.05.2023

This is to inform M-Tech 2nd semester and B-Tech 6th semester student of Civil Engineering Department
about the mandatory project work that you are required to undertake in the next academic year. In order to
ensure the smooth conduct and progress of your project work, it is essential that you select a project guide
during this semester.
To proceed with the selection process, please adhere to the following guidelines:
1. M-Tech students have to take project work individually.
2. B-Tech students may form a group of 5 students.
3. Project Guide Selection: Each student must choose a project guide who will mentor and supervise
their project work. The project guide can be a faculty member from the Department of Civil
Engineering or an approved external guide. Please note that the external guide must have relevant
expertise in the chosen project area.
4. Submission Deadline: The name of your chosen project guide, along with other required details,
must be submitted to the office of the Head of the Department (HoD) of Civil Engineering. The
submission should be made in the prescribed format attached to this notice.
5. Format of Submission: Please ensure that the prescribed format is duly filled in with accurate
information. The format includes the following details:
 Student's Name
 Registration Number
 Semester (B-Tech 6th / M-Tech 2nd)
 Project Guide's Name
 Guide's Designation
 Guide's Contact Information (Email and Phone Number)
6. Submission Deadline: The completed form, in the prescribed format, must reach the office of the
HoD, Civil Engineering, on or before June 5, 2023. Late submissions will not be entertained.
7. Clarification and Assistance: For any queries or assistance regarding the selection of a project guide
or the submission process, please contact the Department of Civil Engineering's office during
working hours. Our staff will be glad to assist you in this matter.
