Present Continuous Negative and Interrogative.

In this class, we are going to continue learning about the present continuous in negative and
interrogative forms. (En esta clase vamos a continuar aprendiendo acerca del presente continuo en sus
formas negativa e interrogativa)
• We use the negative form of the present continuous to say that something is NOT
happening at the moment. (Utilizamos la forma negativa del presente continuo para
decirque algo NO está sucediendo en ese momento)

Structure (Estructura)

Subject+verb to be(am/are/is) +not +verb(ing)

Sujeto + verbo to be(am/are/is) + not +

verbo(ing)Example:

I am not dancing. (Yo no estoy bailando)

• We use the interrogative form of the present continuous to ask what is happening at the
moment. (Utilizamos la forma interrogativa del presente continuo para preguntar que está
sucediendo en ese momento)

Structure (Estuctura)

Verb to be(am/are/is)+subject+verb(ing)+?

Verbo to be (am/are/is)+sujeto +verbo(ing

Example:

Are you dancing? (¿Estás bailando?)

A poner en práctica lo aprendido.

1- Change the sentences to the negative form. (Cambia las oraciones a la forma negativa)
Example: Marcos is walking alone. Marcos is not walking alone.

a) Lynda is swimming in the river.

b) We are visiting the museum.

c) She is washing her clothes.

d) They are listening to the radio.


2- Fill in the blanks with verb to be+ing of the verb in parenthesis.
(Llena los espacios enblanco con el verbo to be+ ing del verbo en paréntesis)
Example: he TV? (watch)
Is he watching TV?

a) Mark the newspaper? (read)


b) you your homework? (do)
c) they a game? (play)
d) I ? (sleep)

3- Answer questions about you using short answers.


(Contesta las preguntas acerca de ti usando respuestas cortas).
