For kind attention to all the TNAI State Presidents, Secretaries, SNAI Advisors,
Principals of Nursing institutions and SNAI Unit Advisors.

Dear Members,

Greetings from TNAI Headquarters!

We are delighted to inform you that National Student Nurses’ Association of India
(SNAI) has completed 94 years and heading towards its centenary in 2029. Let us
march forward with dedication and commitment to celebrate the centenary.

For kind attention to all the principals and SNAI Unit Advisors:

I.We request all the SNAI Unitsto conductthe SNAI competition at your Institution and
send the winners names to the respective SNAI Advisor of the TNAI State / UT Branch
before June 2023 or before their respective State/UT Branch SNAI conference.

ii.Additional relevant information regarding SNAI conference and competition will
appear periodically in the forthcoming issues of the TNAI Bulletin, TNAI website and in
social media.

II Management of SNAI: The governing body of the SNAI shall be the Council of
TNAI.

Meetings:

1. SNAI General Committee meeting


2. SNAI General Body meeting

These two meetings will be conducted during30th SNAI Biennial conference 2023.

1. SNAI General Committee shall comprise of:


i. National President of TNAI or one of the Vice Presidents if the President
wishes to delegate this responsibility
ii. Secretary-General, TNAI
iii. Hony. Treasurer of TNAI
iv. National SNAI Advisor
v. State/UT Branch SNAI Advisors
vi. Vice-Presidents of SNAI State branches (student)
vii. Secretaries of the SNAI State branches (student)

The SNAI General Committee shall meet once in a year during TNAI’s Council meeting.
1(a) Agenda Items (attention: State/ UT SNAI Advisors)
All the State SNAI Advisors are requested to send agendaitems to the National SNAI
Advisor in consultation with your respective state Branch President and Secretary.

i. State SNAI Advisors who are sending agenda items should be present during the
SNAI General Committee meeting with adequate information related to the
agenda items.

Note:Otherwise the agenda will not be discussed during the meeting.

The Agenda items from the State SNAI Advisors should reach TNAI Headquarters onor
before October 10, 2023.

2. SNAI General Body meeting


The SNAI General body at the national level shall comprise of:
i. Members of SNAI General Committee
ii. Three representatives from each unit viz., SNAI Vice President, SNAI Secretary
and SNAI Advisor.
iii. One ANM student from each State (as an Associate member)
iv. All SNAI delegates and participants of various competitions attending the
conference

The SNAI General Body meeting of the Association shall be held during SNAI
Conference.

All SNAI units are requested to nominate at least three representatives from your
respective Unit.

respectiveState SNAI Conferencebefore competing at the National SNAI Conference
Hence, we request all the unit SNAI Advisor or Principal to contact the State SNAI
advisor(the name of SNAI Advisors and their contact details are attached).

IV Criteria for each Competition

Code 01: National award for best SNAI Unit in India

The TNAI National Executive and Council Members have decided to enhance the
quantum of cash award for the best SNAI unit from First Prize of Rs 25,000/- to
1,00,000/-, Second prize Rs 15,000 to 75,000/- and Third Prize Rs 10,000/- to
50,000/ These awardswill be given during the National SNAI Biennial Conference
The criteria for the award are as follows:

i. Year of establishment of the Institution and the Year of establishment of


the SNAI unit.
ii. Continuous renewal of units without any break by paying the SNAI
subscriptions regularly to the National level in time.
iii. Number of SNAI conferences attended by the unit at State and National
level.
iv. Number of conferences organised by the Unit at State Level.
v. Number of Awards received at the National conference.
vi. Submission of SNAI Diary at both State and National level.
vii. Enrollment of SNAI to TNAI members every year in last five years.
viii. Number of students participated in the National level Conference from
respective SNAIUnit.
ix. SNAI Unit visit at TNAI Hqrs.
x. Any extra ordinary performance/ special programs organised by the SNAI
Unit (attach supportive documents).
xi. Copy of the SNAI Unit Certificate (please enclose).
xii. Awards or Prizes received by the Unit at the State/National level.

Note: All the SNAI unit advisors are requested to adhere to the above mentioned
criteria while filling up the Performa (Attached with this Circular) and sendit to the
State SNAI advisor on or before July 31, 2023 The State Branch will scrutinize and
forward one best unit to the TNAI Headquarters for final evaluation

Code 02:Scientific Paper Presentation:


Theme “Empowering Nursing students: Prospects and Challenges”

The nursing student(s) shall conduct the research based on the theme and present it
during the state Branch SNAI conference. The beast paper selected by the State Branch
will be submitted to TNAI Hqrs for final evaluation
Criteria:

a) The research paper should contain Introduction, Need and significance in


Nursing, Statement of the Problem, Objectives, Review of Literature, Brief

description of methodology, Findings and Interpretation can be placed in one
or two tables with Recommendation, Conclusion and Bibliography.

b) The scientific paper shall not exceed 2000 words.


Note:

(i) At the State Level:The State SNAI Advisor with the help of the TNAI
Branch executives shall select one best Scientific Paper at the State
Level and forward the same to the TNAI Headquarters by 31 August
2023 for final evaluation at national level .
(ii) At the National Level:TheTNAI management shall select Best three
Scientific papers, and shall intimate to the State SNAIAdvisor, the
respective principal of the SNAI Unit, and the student researcher to
present the paper during the SNAIBiennial Conference 2023.
(iii) The TNAI Hqrs shall provide 2nd class rail fare (to and fro) and Rs200/-
(local transportation)to the selectedstudent presenter.

Code 03: Biennial SNAI Diary Evaluation (July 2021-June 2023)

Criteria:

In every SNAI unit the student(s) shall recordall the Professional, educational, extra-
curricular, social, cultural and recreational activities with proof.

The Diaries of ANM training school{s) are evaluated separately.

Note:
i. The principals/SNAI Advisors are requested to send their unit SNAI diary
signed by the unit SNAI Secretary and unit SNAI Advisor and the same to be
forwarded to the State SNAI Advisor for evaluation on or before July 31, 2023.

ii. After receiving the SNAI Diary from each unit it shall be evaluated at the State
level The State SNAI Advisor shall write his/her remarks with seal and signature
and two (one from ANM training school unit & one from GNM/BScunit
)outstanding diaries from each State and sent the same to the TNAI
Headquarters by 31 August 2023 for final evaluation.

Poster Size:Standard size (approx. 22"x26") for both individuals and groups.
Topics:Ideas depicted in the poster should be relevant to the topics given below.
Lettering and design of the poster should be bold and big enough to be visible from a
distance.
Clarity: For clarity of the poster-restrict yourself to one idea relevant to the topic
Layout of pictures in the poster must be properly balanced to give a correct sense of
proportion
No Extra fixing of clippings/cuttings or any other form on the poster
The poster should depict originality with innovative ideas

State SNAI Biennial Best Performance Award

The TNAI Hqrsshall evaluate and select the State SNAI Biennial Best Performance
Award based on the criteria and this award shall be given during the conference
State/UT SNAI Biennial Report

i. The State SNAI Advisors should guide the State SNAI Vice-President/ SNAI
Secretary to send the stateSNAI BiennialBranch Report to the TNAI Hqrs
on 30,September 2023
ii. The Branch report should be presented briefly through power point
presentation. TheState SNAI Secretary of each state shall be given 5
minutes to present the report
iii. Soft copy and hard copy of the report (maximum 10 slidesonly) shall sent
to TNAI Headquarters before September 30, 2023
iv. Registration form for the competitions andProforma for sending the report
is attached along with this circular for your ready reference and needful
action
Note: The branches who send the State SNAI Biennial report to the Headquarters are
only allowed to present their State Branch SNAI report during the Conference

RULES OF ENTRY FOR THE COMPETITION


i. Every institution should have SNAI units and paid the subscription fee for the
period of 2021-2022 and 2022-2023

ii. All entries must have competed at the State level. Only one entry from each
State/UT should be sent for the National competition.
iii. All participants shall register for the conference and send registration form.
iv. Last date of receiving the duly filled form from the State/UT SNAI Advisor is
October 31, 2023.
v. One form for each item (group or individual).

NOTE:iNo Entry fee


iiCompleted form(s) with signature of the Participants and State SNA Advisor shall be
submitted to The Secretary-General, TNAI, L-17, Florence Nightingale Lane, Green
Park, New Delhi – 110016

iiiIn any group item, each contestant should give his/her name & address in the entry
form, for issuing merit certificates

VI Observation visit Charges for Non-SNAI Units

As per the decision of the TNAI EC & Council meeting held during January 2023 at
Guwahati, Assam, the observation visit charges has been enhanced toRs50/- per
student + 18% GST (as applicable) i.e. Rs.59/- per student, if not having SNAI unit
(wef April 1, 2023)

VII Benefits of SNAI Membership


i. SNAI Scholarship: From 2021-2022 academic year, the selected scholarship
awardees will be given only one time scholarshipieRs 24,000/- and not for the
subsequent years
ii. No Scholarship application fee.
iii. Student Nurses Welfare Grant.
iv. No competition fee in National conference.
v. Participation in State and National workshops and conferences. Concession in
the registration fee for SNA members; chance to present scientific papers and to
participate in all competitions
vi. Publication of articles: The student nurses are given an opportunity to publish
articles/research papers in the Nursing Journal of India.
vii. TNAI Publications to SNAI units: A set of TNAI Nursing text books, Nursing
Journal of India and TNAI Bulletin are supplied to all SNAI Units at free of cost
viii. Guest room facilities: Accommodation for SNAI members are provided in
the TNAI Headquarters and in TNAI’s Greater Noida campus at reasonable rate of
Rs250/- per student/day

The Nursing Journal of India-Revised Rate:

As per the EC & Council decision (Minute No. EC & CL-109/28-29 January,
2023/14)the members have decided to print the NJI in four color (all the pages) and
also enhance the NJI Subscription rates with effect from April 1, 2023. Details are as
follows:

VIII SNAI-TNAI Membership Plan (New Plan)

This is one time payment plan under which every student is required to pay their SNAI
subscription during their 1st year itself. This fee includes SNAI Subscription for 4 years,
Scholarship fund and SNAI to TNAI membership fee

After the payment each student will get an individual SNAI - TNAI Membership Card
within 15-20 days

GNM Rs. 2000/- per student / onetime payment
BSc(N) Rs. 2000/- per student / onetime payment

The amount has to be deposited in TNAI account through e-banking or Demand Draft
(DD) in favour of “The Trained Nurses’ Association of India” payable at New Delhi The

Note: After successful completion of their course respective students will get TNAI
membership card without any additional payment or fees

RULES FOR ENTRY


1. Poster Presentation form will not be entertained after October 31, 2023.
2. All the exhibits are to be registered. The form should be sent to the Trained Nurses’
Association of India, L-17, Florence Nightingale Lane, Green Park, New Delhi – 110016.
3. Name of the exhibitor and the SNAI Unit should not appear on the exhibit.
4. Each exhibit must be accompanied by a card bearing: (i) Name of Exhibitor; (ii) Name
of SNAI Unit; (iii) Topic of the Exhibit; (iv) Category & Section; (v) Size of the
exhibit should be strictly adhered to or else exhibit may be disqualified for
competition. The size for both individual and group poster presentation will be
same i.estandard size poster approx22 x 26 inches.
5. Completed form(s) with signature of the State SNAI Advisor to be sent to the TNAI, L-17,
Florence Nightingale Lane, Green Park, New Delhi – 110016.
6. For each poster presentation only one entry, either individual or group will be allowed
from each State.
7. Group entry should not have more than three students.

NOTE: In any group item, each contestant should give his/her name & address in the entry
form, for issuing certificates.
