Speed Detection System Proposal

This proposal outlines a design for a speed detection and control system for motor vehicles. The objective is to reduce overspeeding, accidents, and traffic problems by alerting drivers when they exceed the speed limit and slowing the vehicle through mechanisms like throttle, brake, fuel, and transmission control. The system would continuously monitor speed using sensors, compare it to the preset limit, and gradually reduce speed if exceeded to maintain safety.

PROPOSAL

TITLE: Design and simulate for speed detection and control system using speed in
motor vehicles

Objective: This project is majorly focused on over speeding of vehicles, road accidents and
traffic problems. The objective of this project is to slow down the vehicles using speed
cameras fixed on roads people ignore speed limit signs while driving so this technology will alert
their every driver and help to maintain speed limit on every road. So eventually number of
accidents and traffic problems will reduce.

Working principle:
Speed Sensing: The system relies on sensors to continuously monitor the vehicle's speed.
Common sensors include wheel speed sensors, GPS, or radar systems.

Speed Comparison: The system compares the actual vehicle speed to a predefined speed limit.
This limit can be set by the driver or predetermined by regulatory authorities.

Control Mechanism: If the vehicle's speed exceeds the preset limit, the system initiates control
mechanisms to reduce speed. There are several methods for this:
Throttle Control: The system can reduce the throttle or engine power to slow down the vehicle.
Brake Control: In some systems, the brakes are applied to decrease speed.
Fuel Supply Control: It can limit the supply of fuel to the engine, thereby reducing power.
Transmission Control: The system can adjust the transmission to lower gear to reduce speed.

Gradual Control: The system usually aims for a gradual reduction in speed to ensure safety and
comfort for passengers.
