General Information (Bucket System)

Bucket Hydraulic System
Two bucket cylinders are used to move the bucket for a bucket DUMP or a bucket CURL operation. When the
bucket cylinder rod EXTENDS, the bucket CURLS. When the bucket cylinder rod RETRACTS, the bucket
DUMPS.
The main hydraulic pumps supply high-pressure oil to the main control valves. Pilot oil pressure from the
attachment pilot manifold is used to control the movement of both bucket control valves in the main control
valves. The bucket control valve spools, in turn, controls the flow of the high-pressure oil to the bucket
cylinders. The bucket control valves determine the direction and speed of the bucket cylinders in proportion to
the movement of the joystick.
Components of the bucket system include:
• Bucket control valve (Left control valve)
• Bucket control valve (Right control valve)
• Bucket cylinder head end line relief valve
• Bucket cylinder rod end line relief valve
• Bucket cylinders
