NOTES: Single series especially issued seven months after Decca’s take-over by Polygram (February,
1980). Twelve singles (injection moulded with silver and black labels) in identical picture sleeves
and notable for their idiosyncratic sequence and couplings. Originally they were supplied to
dealers in browser boxes of 36 (three complete sets) with the catalogue number BROWS 1.
Members of the public could buy, by mail only, a box to keep the singles in. However, this led to
confusion as many people thought the singles would come with the box. The series was no great
success, leading to its deletion and the reinstatement of the original couplings and the old
catalogue numbers between March and May, 1982.
