Matidia lived from 68-119 AD. She was the daughter of Marciana, niece of Emperor Trajan, and mother of Sabina who married Emperor Hadrian. Coins were minted depicting Matidia when she was deified after her death, including aurei, denarii, and sestertii honoring her relationship to Trajan and virtue of Pietas.
