04 Tower Cranes i) Craning operations will be supervised


by a competent person other than

competence to operate (copy to be on
site) and be responsible for daily
maintenance and completion of

competent persons.
v) Slingers and bankers will be

gear before use, ensuring stability and
security of loads.
vi) Under no circumstances will appliance
safe working load be exceeded.
Slingers will be required to know
weight of materials to be raised before
commencement of lift.
vii) All overhead electric cables will be
identified. Cranes will not operate
within 6 meters plus extended jib
length, unless permit to work is issued.
viii)Planned maintenance to be introduced
