1. SCOPE OF WORKS
Intended Application/Usage: Citadines Bacolod Project.
This method statement is prepared for the Installation of ceiling as part of the the fit-out works
of the Citadines Bacolod Project as described in the relevant drawings and specifications i n c l u
des but not limited to:
Sequence of work and workmanship will be reviewed and resolved during the co-ordination of the
MEPF requirements and other trade works, if any.
2. CONSTRUCTION METHODOLOGY
Installation of Gypsum Ceiling, Cove light. Curtain Cove, Shadow Gap, Bulk Head
a) Site Survey.The receipts of shop drawings approved the consultant the site will be surveyed and any
discrepancies found will be notified to the main contractor for clarification.
b) Setting Out. Setting out and marking will be done as per approved shop drawing, ceiling height of various
areas shall be marked based on the benchmark provided by main contractor, level will be transferred on all
the corners and chalk lines will be marked.
c) Fixing of Wall Angles.The wall angles will be fixed along the marked ceiling depending on the substrate and
approved spacing.
d) Fixing of Hangers.Fixing of hangers will be done as per approved shop drawing layout details and using
hanger anchorage devices of the soffit.The position of the hangers will be marked on the soffit of the slab
which has to be reviewed by main contractor site engineer upon receipt of MEPF clearance hangers.
e) Framework.The framework will be done as per approved shop drawing and with approved materials.
f) Framework Inspection and MEPF Clearance.Upon completion of the framework, respective areas shall be
for approval by owner consultant representative.
g) Ceiling Enclosure. The ceiling enclosure will be done as per approved materials.
3. INSPECTION REQUIREMENTS
Inspection will be carried out according to the approved shop drawings and specifications.
4. CONFORMANCE CRITERIA
Installation works to be carried out according to the approved shop drawings, material/samples
and comply with Specification.
5. MATERIALS
The materials to be used are as follows.
Gypsum Board 9mm thick
Metal Furring
Carrying Channel
Wall Angle
Gypsum Screw
6. PERSONNEL ROLES AND RESPONCIBILITIES
Project in Charge
-Monitor project progress and over all site coordination and arrangement.
-Liaise with Sub-contractors.
CAD/Assistant Architect
-Prepare Shop Drawings.
-Prepare As-built Plan.
Field Architect/Engineer
-Full time supervision on scope of admin workers and sub-contractors.
-Request missing information.
-Identifying conflicts in design.
QAQC Engineer
-Prepare Method Statement.
-Prepare Material/Sample Submissions.
-Prepare documents such as:
Inspection Request.
Hand-over and Punch listing Report.
Safety
- Prepare Safety Plan.
