Last hope

It's 14 minutes past 30 PM on the 1461st day of my T-360 quest for salvation through space. I just
left the planet MX-24-7226. There is no more life there. Because, I witnessed the death of the last
living soul there. When I arrived on the planet, it was in a deplorable state. Cities were abandoned,
no sign of life was visible. Most of the planet was blue. After examining it, it turned out that it was a
liquid. According to the sources I have come across, the natives of the planet call this liquid
“Water”. There were no organisms in the water. The land relief was distributed differently, some of
it was plains, and the rest were highlands. Apparently, this planet had reached the peak of its
civilization several years ago, but for some reason it seemed that the planet had fallen into decline.
At one time, when I was exploring the planet, the special sensors of the ship detected a living soul in
another part of the planet. I got there immediately. The place I went to was different from the
previous ones. It was located among the heights, where attractive plants grew from each other, and
the water collected in the center of the plain floated pleasantly. All this created a beauty to the extent
that a person could be charmed. Not far from that body of water was a small house. I headed home...
When I entered the house, I could hear someone's heavy breathing. He woke up when he noticed
that I entered the house and raised his head to look at me. After seeing me, his heavy breathing
became faster. There was fear in his eyes. He was so scared that he took the firearm from his bed
and shot me and even shot 3 times. One touched my clothes, and the other two missed me and
damaged the walls of the house due to the lack of human hands. Then his weapon fell from his hand,
he went back to his bed, exhausted. Then I approached him slowly. I saw that the man's face was
pale and wrinkled, his eyes were sunken, his hair was gray, and his body was very thin. Desperation
was visible in his eyes. His condition indicated that he had only a few days left. He wanted to say
something to me with his dry lips. As soon as I realized this, I started the translator. Thus began my
first conversation with the representative of this planet:

- Hello.
He didn't say a word. Surprise and fear were reflected in his eyes. He stuttered with fear:
- W-w-who are you? - he said
- I came from another planet. Residents on my planet call me T-360. And you can call me
by any name you like.
- If you are from another planet, how do you know our language? - he asked.
 - Actually, I don't know your language. I just have a universal translator that can translate all
languages.- I answered.
- How did you get here? - he asked.

Then I went on to explain in detail the reason for my visit:

- I am looking for salvation all over the universe. I came from a distant planet. My people are
on the verge of collapse and my people have sent me to find another habitable planet. Are
you alone on this planet or are there others like you?

- Yes, there was. Once upon a time... - he sighed.

- What happened to them? - I asked and learned about the sad fate of the locals who "once"
lived here.

- I was born during the war. I was told that our planet once flourished. Everyone lived
peacefully, happily and prosperously. But later the inhabitants of the planet became evil.
People were using natural resources sparingly, polluting the nature, throwing all the waste
wherever they wanted. People began to treat nature like barbarians. Almost all species of the
animal world have died out. Only pets survived. All the forests were cut down and cities
were built instead, but the lust of the people was never satisfied, and this lust of the people
reached their heads. Natural resources have been exhausted, and only some places have
potable water. This caused a shortage of drinking water. Deforestation has caused global
warming. As a result, all the glaciers on the planet melted. This caused terrible disasters for
the people of the coast, all the countries along the coast were flooded, and as a result, the
people of these countries were forced to move to other places. They settled in the interior of
the whole continents, and as a result, there was a shortage of food. Humans invented
artificial food to solve this problem. This was a solution to the problem for some time, but
after some time it became impossible to provide people with artificial food and a great
famine began. Millions of people died of hunger. To stop this, the leaders of the big
countries agreed to destroy half of humanity, and they decided to wipe out only the people of
the small countries, but it was not easy. All the countries that were supposed to be destroyed
formed an alliance with each other and rose up against them. All people in the world
 became victims of this bloody war. The war covered the whole world, the earth. The war
took a terrible turn. States have mobilized all their military forces for this war. This war
wiped out billions of people. Everywhere you looked, you could see only blood, horror and
death. Only the sounds of explosions, shots and screams could be heard. Half of the world
was fighting for its life, and the other half was fighting for a piece of land. People called this
war "The Great War". I was also born during this war. When I was 13 years old, my parents
died and I became an orphan. But no one won the war. The main part of humanity was
destroyed in this war, and there are few people left on earth. Realizing that Earth is now
uninhabitable, humans formed an alliance and built a huge interstellar ship. They wanted to
find refuge on other planets. After the interstellar ship was completed, we began to prepare
for departure, but by chance I was forgotten on the day of our departure. By the time I
arrived, the ship had already taken off. But something went wrong with the ship and the ship
fell to the ground. The ship and all the people on it were burned. I was left alone on the
planet. I was the last human child, but I did not give up. I tried to travel around the planet to
see if there were other forgotten people like me, but all my efforts were in vain. I have spent
22 years searching the world for the human race. Then, this work touched my soul, I realized
that it was useless. I found this place and started living here. What worried me was not me,
but the end of human life. Now I feel that my death is near.

He finished his story. I was amazed. It was as if he was telling the future of our planet. I thought that
the same problems had started on our planet and I was scared to think that the future of our planet
was in danger. Then I looked at the man. He wanted to say something to me, but he couldn't.
Suddenly his breathing became heavy and slowly his life candle began to fade, he lay facing the
ceiling and suddenly his breathing stopped. My device showed that it had died and thus the human
race had disappeared from this universe.
What I want to tell you is that these actions of mankind should serve as a lesson to other
civilizations in the universe, and the world they left behind should serve as a warning to others.
True, it is too late for humanity, but there is a chance for others to avoid the same fate.
Shortly after the T-360 finished its message, the ship's sensors picked up a familiar signal...
