The computer

A computer is a machine that can be programmed to carry out sequences

of arithmetic or logical operations (computation) automatically. Modern digital

electronic computers can perform generic sets of operations known as programs. These

programs enable computers to perform a wide range of tasks. A computer system is a

nominally complete computer that includes the hardware, operating

system (main software), and peripheral equipment needed and used for full operation.

This term may also refer to a group of computers that are linked and function together,

such as a computer network or computer cluster.

If You Forget Me
I want you to know one thing.
You know how this is: if I look
at the crystal moon, at the red branch
of the slow autumn at my window, if I touch
near the fire the impalpable ash
or the wrinkled body of the log,
everything carries me to you,
as if everything that exists,
aromas, light, metals,
were little boats that sail
toward those isles of yours that wait for me.
Well, now, if little by little you stop loving me
I shall stop loving you little by little.
If suddenly, you forget me
do not look for me, for I shall already have forgotten you.
If you think it long and mad, the wind of banners
that passes through my life, and you decide
to leave me at the shore of the heart where I have roots, remember
that on that day, at that hour, I shall lift my arms and my roots will set off
to seek another land. But if each day, each hour,
you feel that you are destined for me
with implacable sweetness, if each day a flower
climbs up to your lips to seek me, ah my love, ah my own,
in me all that fire is repeated,
in me nothing is extinguished or forgotten,
my love feeds on your love, beloved,
and as long as you live it will be in your arms
without leaving mine.

The internet

The Internet (or internet)[a] is the global system of interconnected computer

networks that uses the Internet protocol suite (TCP/IP)[b] to communicate between
networks and devices. It is a network of networks that consists of private, public,
academic, business, and government networks of local to global scope, linked by a broad
array of electronic, wireless, and optical networking technologies. The Internet carries a
vast range of information resources and services, such as the inter
linked hypertext documents and applications of the World Wide Web (WWW), electronic
mail, telephony, and file sharing.

The origins of the Internet date back to the development of packet switching and
research commissioned by the United States Department of Defense in the late 1960s to
enable time-sharing of computers.[2] The primary precursor network, the ARPANET,
initially served as a backbone for the interconnection of regional academic and military
networks in the 1970s to enable resource sharing. The funding of the National Science
Foundation Network as a new backbone in the 1980s, as well as private funding for other
commercial extensions, led to worldwide participation in the development of new
networking technologies, and the merger of many networks.[3] The linking of commercial
networks and enterprises by the early 1990s marked the beginning of the transition to
the modern Internet,[4] and generated a sustained exponential growth as generations of
institutional, personal, and mobile computers were connected to the network. Although
the Internet was widely used by academia in the 1980s, commercialization incorporated
its services and technologies into virtually every aspect of modern life.

Most traditional communication media, including telephone, radio, television,

paper mail, and newspapers, are reshaped, redefined, or even bypassed by the Internet,

giving birth to new services such as email, Internet telephone, Internet television, online

music, digital newspapers, and video streaming websites. Newspaper, book, and other

print publishing have adapted to website technology or have been reshaped into

blogging, web feeds, and online news aggregators.
