This patent describes a hot-melt adhesive composition containing polyethylene wax as a processing aid. The composition comprises a hot-melt adhesive powder and 0.2-6% by weight of polyethylene wax. The wax prevents the coated material from sticking to calender rolls during processing and prevents sheets from sticking together. It provides good dispersion of powders in aqueous systems used for paste coating. The polyethylene wax has a molecular weight of 500-10,000, a softening point of 100-130°C, and a viscosity of 100-380 mPa-s at 150°C.
