2023 CLOSING EXERCISES
I. RATIONALE
Graduation and Recognition are one of the year-end activities of the Department of
Education to give recognition to the learners exemplary performance for the current school year.
It emphasizes the significance of unity in forging a better and progressive future for the Filipino
youth. The issuance of Division Memorandum No. 177, s. 2023 entitled “Conduct of the In-
Person End of School Year (EOSY) Rites, mandates all schools to conduct their closing and
recognition programs to recognize the concerted endeavor and collaborative efforts of the
stakeholders and learners in achieving the shared vision of quality, accessible, relevant and
liberating basic education for all discouraging excessive spending and other extravagant
miscellaneous.
Relative thereto, Sagaosawan Elementary School will be holding its 21 st CLOSING
EXERCISES dated July 10, 2023. This is a very significant occasion on the part of the pupils in
the sense that they will be awarded on their struggles while they embraced their journey
academically and even in their skills and talents. Sagaosawan Elementary School came up with
this activity proposal in compliance with the Division memorandum issued by the office of the
Schools Division Superintendent highlighting the simple but memorable conduct of the End of
School Year Rites 2023.
II. OBJECTIVES
The activity targets:
1. To conduct the 2023 Closing Exercises
2. To recognize the concerted endeavor and collaborative efforts of the stakeholders and
learners throughout
the school year.
III. TARGET PARTICIPANTS:
The participants for this activity are the DepEd Authorized Representative, District Head,
Guest Speaker, Guests, School Head, Teachers, graduating pupils, kindergarten completers,
honor pupils and parents.

VI. BUDGET PROPOSAL (Narrative)
A total of Eleven Thousand Pesos needed to defray the expenses for Closing Exercises
2023 incurred in the conduct of the activity shall be charged against local funds.
