his homeland. Born in the year 1949, Bulbul’s

him apart in a community renowned for its mu-

The serendipitous turn of events that catapult-
ed Bulbul into the limelight began in the early
sixties, during the era of cultural resurgence in
Jammu and Kashmir. As the then Prime Min-
ister Bakshi Ghulam Mohammed initiated the
celebrated Jashn-e-Kashmir programs, educa-

ing entertained as a guest by Allah Himself.

Oh Allah, as you have helped me carry out
