CUT IN:

EXT. APARTMENT COMPLEX - NIGHT

WE OPEN on an apartment complex. The main window in focus is


closed with blinds, however light from inside is peering
through to the outside. Noise from the inside is heard from
the outside.

CUT TO:

INT. APARTMENT COMPLEX - LIVING ROOM - NIGHT

A YOUNG COUPLE sits together on a couch. The YOUNG MAN


focusing on the tv in front of him looking over to the YOUNG
WOMAN occasionally. SARAH is scrolling on her phone looking
up at the TV rarely.

GAME ANNOUNCER
(excited)
with just a few seconds on the clock,
Chiefs are just 3 yards of a touchdown
that can win them the game, but they
only have one down left...

TYLER
(Anxious and Excited)
Sarah look we're about to score and
win the Super Bowl c'mon

Sarah does not look up from her phone and continues to scroll

SARAH
(Uninterested)
I'm really excited for you.

At the last moment TE of the Chiefs Travis Kielce scores the


game winning touchdown.

GAME ANNOUNCER
(Very Excited)
CHIEFS WIN SUPER BOWL 59!

TYLER jumps off the couch excitedly yelling in triumph over


the win. Sarah makes a face of disgust than looks up at the
TV to see Taylor being proposed to on the field.

TYLER
(Almost in a confused matter)
Oh Sarah look, Taylor is on the field
with Travis
2.

Tyler goes to look at Sarah who is already off the couch


calling one of her friends on the phone pointing at the
Screen

SARAH
(Growing excitement)
Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god...

Sarah's friends answers.

Sarah leaves the room without a word, excitedly talking on


the phone with her friends about Taylor

SARAH
YES DID YOU SEE WHAT SHE WAS WEARING
AND HOW EXCITED SHE GOT FOR THE TEAM!!
I KNEW HE WAS GOING TO PROPOSE I TOLD
YOU!!

Tyler sits back down on the couch dissapointed despite the


win. He slowly sinks into the back of the couch running his
hand through his hair.

Sarah's conversation in the other room runs through Tyler's


mind alongside various love songs by Taylor swift, sounds of
edits from tik Tok and lastly his ringtone going off.

Tyler grabs his phone to see twitter and his friends poking
fun and being enraged by the proposal.

END.
