1.
* A man named Simon from Cyrene was forced by the soldiers to carry Jesus’
cross.
* They came to a place called Golgotha ( The place of the skull ).
* There they offered Jesus a wine with bitter substance, but after tasting it, he
would not drink it.
* They crucified Jesus and divided his clothes among them by throwing a dice.
* After that, the soldiers sat and watch him.
* The soldiers put a written notice accusation about Jesus, placed above his
head saying that “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews”.
*They crucified two bandits on the right side and left side of Jesus.
2. Galatians 3:13 explains that Jesus Christ died in the cross to save us all from
the curse of sin.
3. In Matthew 27:46, Jesus cried out “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” which means
“My God, my God, why did you abandon me?” And in John 8:29, Jesus was in
despair at being forsaken by God because Jesus knows that God was with him
and that he has not left him alone for he always do what pleases God.
4. In Matthew 26:39, I think Jesus called God “God” because of his total
faithfulness in praying and obeying God.
5. The last words Jesus cried out on the cross was “ It was finished” and basing
on the scriptures of John 19:30, John 17:4, Acts 13:29 and Romans 3:24-25; I
think Jesus said this because they had done everything that the Scriptures say
about him and he has finished the work that God has given him on earth, which
is to save the humanity from sins and show the glory of God.
6. According to Leviticus 17:11, Hebrews 9:22, and John 1:29, the shedding of
blood is absolutely necessary for our salvation because blood which is life, takes
away sins and sins are forgiven only if blood is poured out.
7.
a. I think the sacrificial system in the Old Testament period was incomplete
because it focuses more about animal sacrifices while in the New Testament
period, it explains about the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for all of us.
b.
* Hebrews 10:10 - “Because Jesus Christ did what God wanted him to do, we are
all purified from sin by offering that he made of his own body once and for all.”
* Hebrews 10:12 - “Christ, however, offered one sacrifice for sins, an offering that
is effective forever, and then he sat down at the right side of God.”
* Hebrews 10:14 - “With one sacrifice, then, he has made perfect forever those
who are purified from sin.”
* Hebrews 10:18 - “So when these have been forgiven, an offering to take away
sins is no longer needed.”
* Jesus Christ did the will of God, wherein he sacrificed his own body once and
for all, then he sat down at the right side of God. Because of that we are all
purified from sin and has made us perfect forever.
8. Yes I truly believe in this amazing grace because first of all, Jesus Christ died
for each and every one of us. So I believe that if we believe and obey in Jesus,
we can avoid temptations and sins, therefore, we can be saved.
9. Romans 5:8 describes that even we people are still sinners, God loves us so
much, that Christ has died for us.
10. Yes, I’ve felt this kind of moment once, when I’m praying in my room, that it
felt like I was being calmed and the impurities in my heart were like being
purified. It’s like an unexplainable moment for me.
11. Yes, I think for some instance, this is normal that eventually you aren’t even
aware of the changes that God has given you when you are touched and have
accepted and believed on the amazing grace and later on you just notice this
kind of changes in your life and on that point you’ll say Praise be to God. To
remain the same after experiencing it, a person must continue to live his/her life
for the glory of God and as for me, the love of the cross has change me
perspectively and emotionally. That it allows me to think first of the things that I’m
about to do,whether if it’s for the glory of God or not. Also, it has made me learn
to calm and control myself in a distressing moments.
