OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY, HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT
Occupational healthy and safety has been and will remain key in our site
activities until we reach conclusion of this project.
We have provided PPE(s) to all site crew necessary for the specific on going
works
Security; provided full time watchman to ensure safeguard of materials and
equipment.
Put measures to curb spread of HIV/Aids and STDs through counselling,
educating workers on the causes, effects, prevention, use of condoms mostly
during our tool box meetings
Sensitize on COVID-19 and hand wash jerrcans with taps provided

Adequate signage message ranging from caution to prevention for example
ROAD WORKS AHEAD.
General cleaning of equipment before and after use
Regular machinery checkup- roller vehicles, bitumen distributer etc
Backfilling/ restoration of the borrow pits with supervision of the environment
officer.
CHALLENGES.
o Absenteeism of labourers more so in agricultural seasons
o Heavy rains which disrupt activities
