(1_1): Overview
Al-_Furat State Company for Chemical Industries and pesticides, one of the Ministry of Industry and
Minerals, the company is located in the province of Babylon and just (65) km from the province of Baghdad
and an area of (136) acres and linked by transport routes (by car and railway) The company has three
production plants ( caustic soda plant , sulfuric acid plant , agricultural pesticides plant).
The company was established of 1968 and it was called Rayon State Company for silk Industries ,In 1995
Al-_Furat State Company for Chemical Industries named which was included (chemical plants, and plastic
sacks plant, starch, dextrin plant and in 2016 was named Al-_Furat State Company for Chemical Industries
and pesticide companies includes (acid and soda caustic, agricultural pesticides) and a cadre of the company
(1539) following the merger of General Tariq company with our company's decision to become a plant
belonging to the company dated (1.1.2016) this plant is located in Anbar province /Fallujah/Karma, just (40)
km west of the city of Baghdad and it is managed by a specialist cadre. And associated transportation ways
(by car).
The company has experience of more than (40) years in the production of chemicals and features production
specifications of high quality and are ISO certified (ISO 9001) since 2002 for all products of chemical and is
considered one of the most prominent companies, the most important in the production of materials (caustic
soda _ hydrochloric acid _ Hypo chlorate sodium _ liquid chlorine _ concentrated sulfuric acid and batteries
acid, in addition to agricultural pesticides) and the company is seeking to modernize production technology
and raise production capacity to own a larger share of the Iraqi market.
The company has successfully update a plants (caustic soda and chlorine plant) and increase the production
capacity of the plant concentrated sulfuric acid after conducting maintenance work on its equipment and has
plans to establish a number of investment projects in the next years where the company is looking forward in
the long term to export their products to neighboring countries .
The company's aim is to become the leading supplier of the above products, where the company is
committed to the availability of products characterized by their high quality and always strive to achieve
customer requests and provide the products they need in a timely manner and will work staff of the
company's employees are always improving our products until the company up to the highest development
levels of production in the market through live up to the high expectations of customers.
The company maintains enjoy with strong relations with the Ministry of Industry and Minerals and develop
sales and marketing capacity and establish good relationships with customers plants is one of the key plants
for the success of the company.

Most of these are company's customers from the public sector has started the development of plans for the
development of their companies and increase production capacity , therefore expected to increase their
demand in the next years on the company's products, in addition, the number of Iraqi and foreign investors
have to invest and create new corporate plans and lead to the emergence of new customers need to Al Furat
State Company products, as well as investments in the drilling of oil wells and activating the export activity.
the characteristic of the company's products is the high commitment of the Iraqi specifications set by the
Central Organization for Standardization and quality control and approved mainly on international technical
specifications and the introduction of modern technology in new projects makes these same products
specifications of high quality comparable to global products.

AL-Furat state company plane for the next five year plan is to find work for all employees who do not
have work to exploit the experience of staff through the development of existing lines and the
establishment of new production lines and develop their ability and that their participation training
courses in various disciplines in order to ensure the continued application of the system of quality in all
the company's facilities properly the company is developing a plan to train staff in all competence.
The company's products are now sold directly and that the production capacity of some of the products do
not clog the overall need of the local market. And that the company's products in the market at present and
in the future is greater than production and that the real competition for the company's products come from
imported products of the fact that competing companies and plants in Iraq within a small and distinct
products Al_Furat state company in terms of type and value and specifications. The market growth rate
is(10-20) % per annul for the establishment of public-sector companies to develop and rehabilitate its plants
there is also a great opportunity local and foreign private work inside Iraq for the sector in the coming years.
AL-Furat state company plan during the next five years of implementation of the plan is to develop the
marketing department of the company and add elements of a trained and highly experienced in the field of
marketing policy and the search for new markets in addition to existing markets in addition to the formation
of committees' market survey and promote the company's products. AL-Furat state company plan aims to
increase the company's sales of all products and doubled over the next five years to comply with the increase
in production capacity plan.

(1_5):Implementation plan and system project
The Al_Furat State Company plan for the next five years is to develop production lines and update the
introduction of modern technology for all the company's plants, and the plan includes facilitating the process
of obtaining important resource for the production as raw material primary and spare part and industrial
assistance such, as well as developed of the dynamic marketing of the all products by declaring investment
opportunities to establishment new projects as follows:
1. The operation of the new soda and chlorine plant, which was implemented with modern technology, by
the SVE Indian company. The stage of testing the energies and the initial receipt was not completed by the
executing company. The work was withdrawn and a general tender was issued for the operation of the plant.
Which will bring the company financial revenues through the marketing of its important products (Caustic
Soda, Liquid Chlorine, Hypo, HCL) required by the Ministry of Oil, Ministry of Electricity, Municipality of
Baghdad and Ministry of Municipalities.
2. Addition of a new line for the production of concentrated sulfuric acid: Considering the availability of
expertise in the operation and maintenance of the sulfuric acid plant and for the purpose of expanding the
production capacity of the concentrated sulfuric acid to cover the increasing domestic demand for the
material, the company has planned to add a new production line, The use of materials available in the
warehouses and implemented by the cadres of the company and according to the financial possibilities
available and reduce the materials purchased (local or import) to the narrowest limits.

That the chance of success of the Al_Furat state company plan for the next five years is high for the
following reasons:
1. running of the new chlorine and soda plant which will provide chemical products (soda, chlorine, Hypo.
Hydrochloric acid) required in large quantities by many beneficiaries.
2. Include all the company's products of chemicals with the law protect products, helping to ensure the
marketing of products.

(1_7): Current – status
The current situation of the Al_Furat state company is the existence of good infrastructures for the
development of the company in the next five years, the productivity of the buildings and the buildings and
stores, humane and production means, services and amenities workers. And that the process of evolution in
the plan are replacing some lines, laboratories obsolete machines and new lines sophisticated keep pace with
the process of technological development to provide high chances to compete with other products and
increase production capacity and improve working conditions through the development of services provided

Al-Furat Company's products are of great importance to its customers from all segments. The management
of Al-Furat Company is keen to provide the best competitive advantages for the purpose of expanding its
market share by developing the quality of its products and increasing the quantity of production and selling
products at competitive prices especially that the company has the Iraqi quality certificate according to
standard (ISO 9001: 2008) awarded by the Center for Standardization and Quality Control. The company is
in the process of contracting with the General Company for Engineering Inspection for the purpose of
qualification according to the new version of ISO 9001: 2015.
The operation of the new factories (soda and soda factory) leads to the production of products in larger
quantities, better quality and competitive prices, adding value to the company's products.
The marketing and quality departments in the company's status periodically survey opinion of customers to
know the company's products and services and develop accordingly and an example is attached
questionnaire issued in (2016- 2017).
The value provided to customers is through the commitment of our company to the dates of delivery of the
contracts with them, as well as adherence to the specifications of our products in the long term in addition to
the existence of many investment projects required to modernize and develop the factories through the
establishment of new projects and the development of working plants and provide a better service to the
customer, The feasibility of the project to expand the production capacity of the soda and chlorine plant with
a capacity of 45 tons per day to improve the coverage of its production of chlorine liquid to about 65% of
the country's need of the material (estimated at 25 thousand tons per year) The current plant at Al-Furat
Company fills only one-third of the total need of liquid chlorine and the project to upgrade and develop the
concentrated sulfuric acid industry. The project is based on the development and modernization of the single
phase absorption technology used in the company's sulfuric acid plant and replacing it with double
technology (75) tons / day through the purchase, installation and operation of modern and advanced
production equipment and production lines to ensure the completion of the process of absorption of gases
instead of obsolete equipment, which is currently also considered environmentally friendly project and the
rehabilitation and modernization and operation Tariq plant of Pesticides Agricultural and production
capacity (2500) tons / year and is now preparing the announcement of the investment opportunity.
The production capacity of the new soda and chlorine plant is 45 tons / day.
The current production capacity of the concentrated sulfuric acid plant is (35) tons / day.
Planned Production Capacity: (45) tons / day for the expansion of the soda and chlorine plant and (75) tons /
day for the plant to develop and modernize the concentrated sulfuric acid industry.

(3_1): Overview
Number of employees in the company before merged of Al_Tareq for agricultural pesticides plant with the company
(1482) employees up to December 2015.
Number of employees in the company after merged of Al_Tareq for agricultural pesticides plant with the company
(1496) employees to 13/11/2017.
This difference in number has no impact on the reality of the company because the company is working to the
principle of independence of the plants which all independent plant administratively.
The decision to merge included the separation of the manufacturers of plastic sacks and starch from our company,
which are working manufacturers and achieve financial revenues and also included the integration of the company
with our company Tarek, which includes the plant in Garma, a plant located in a military operations area and its
position is unclear where it cannot be accessed so our company has borne Financial burdens due to merger decision.

A summary of the company's management tasks
The Board of Directors shall be responsible for drawing up the administrative, financial, technical and organizational policy of the
Company's affairs in accordance with the provisions of Article (19) of the Public Companies Law No. (22) of 1997 / Amended.
With regard to human resources there is a fundamental axes the focus over the next years:
*Determine company's needs of technical and administrative staff important and effective for the expansion
of the company's production. The company plans to operate a new worker (Young) to run new projects and

5.Implementation and project system:
(5_1): Overview
The implementation plan for Al-Furat state Company for Chemical Industries and Pesticides over the next
five years includes the development and operation of all production plants as follows:
• Operating the new soda and chlorine plant by contracting with a specialized company.
• Establishment of a new line for the production of sulfuric acid center: has been the manufacture of a
number of equipment within the company and the possibilities available and the exploitation of materials
available in warehouses and reduce the importation to a minimum.
• Referring to the implementation of the investment opportunity to expand the production capacity of the
soda and chlorine plant in our company in order to increase the amount of chlorine produced and required

b. Caustic soda plant production activity technical way.
1. Prepare the brine solution: where melting salt water by a process in a certain temperature and prepare
brine (Brine) and adjust the focus and specifications to be pumped to the electrolysis cells.
2. Electrolysis: - at this stage is the production of caustic soda and chlorine gas and hydrogen from
electrolysis of brine solution that has been pumped from the first stage and is used in the production of
these gases products set out in the following stages. The storage soda substance in metal tanks.
3.liquefaction of chlorine: - at this stage is convert part of the chlorine produced in the electrolysis cells
into liquid chlorine through the use of temperature and specific pressure and the product is stored in metal
tanks and then packaged in ferrous cylinders and uses liquid chlorine in the sterilizer of drinking water.
4. the production of hydrochloric acid: - The production of acid from the reaction part of the chlorine
produced in the electrolysis with hydrogen gas in a special oven for this interaction and is absorbed with
water to produce hydrochloric acid and the product is pumped into storage tanks lined with rubber.
5. Production hypo: - produced hypo through reaction the part of the chlorine gas with the amount of soda
and is used for the purposes of sterilization and the clean and the product is pumped into fiberglass tanks
GRV.

The implementation plan pays much attention to the plants development as follows.
1.Caustic soda plant
The production of caustic soda has been updated and developed through the installation of a new plant for the
production of caustic soda, hydrochloric acid, liquid chlorine and sodium hypochlorite solution, using new technology
which adopts the membrane method which is environmentally friendly, advanced equipment, high production capacity
and currently in operation.
The increase in production as a result of the operation of the new plant in the coming years will bring great returns to
the company, as well as improving the quality of production and low production costs will lead to high
competitiveness of the plant products with other products, which leads to increased marketing quantities and control of
other markets in addition to maintaining our current markets.
The plant is still operating with production capacity (35) tons / day. Despite the aging of the equipment on which the
maintenance work was carried out, the factory works with old technology.
The company seeks to develop factory work and increase production capacity through:
• The announcement and transfer of the implementation of the investment opportunity to modernize and develop the
sulfuric acid industry in Al_Furat state Company, where the investment document was prepared and obtained the
approval of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals on the announcement and currently under the announcement of the
opportunity include the establishment of a new line of production of sulfuric acid center capacity (75) tons / For the
production of alum because of the large demand for alum and the fact that concentrated sulfuric acid enters as a basic
material in the alum
• Establishment of a new line for the production of sulfuric acid center: has been the manufacture of a number of
equipment within the company and the possibilities available and the exploitation of materials available in warehouses
and reduce the import materials to a minimum.
The plant is currently suspended due to the damage caused by the terrorist operations in Anbar province. The company
is seriously seeking to restore the status of its products in the market as it was before the recent events in Anbar
province, where the value of the plant sales for 2013 amounted to (6) billion Iraqi dinars.
2) Re-registration of pesticides by the National Authority for the registration and certification of pesticides and this
takes a long time and effort.
3)Continued demand by ministry of agriculture and the ministries in the public sector on new pesticides never
produced before and the company sought to produce, but the registration takes a long period may extend to two years
and the company trying to convince beneficiaries and especially the National Commission authorizing to produce
under paragraph (in the registry) that the product is checked periodically for each packed marketed production in
approving this proposal, the company can sign several contracts with public sector ministries are expected to make up
the contracts for about (50%) of the design capacity of the plant

(5_3): Sales
The quantities of products sold to our customers depend upon the quantities produced in the plants because the size of
the market is larger than the production capacity.
(5_4): Distribution.
Marketing is done through the marketing department of the company for the aforementioned clients. "The marketing
process is done by one of the two options below and according to the customer's request:
1. The delivery of the product to the customer's site by the company's car or through the rental of cars to deliver the
product for the purpose of winning customers and providing them with a service and competition of imported
products. Al-Furat plans to purchase suitable transport trucks to transport the product in the next five years to increase

1. Mr. Ali Qassim Kadhim is the D.G and the chief of the directorate will be the first person who responsible of the
plan management with the assistance of other teams.

Al-Furat state Company for Chemical Industries and Pesticides owns several factories and these plant are
distributed within two sites as detailed below:

public street between Musayyib and Sada Al Hindi. The General Department includes the Office of the Director
General, the Board of Directors, the administrative, financial, commercial, planning,investement and control
departments, the Information and Quality and Security Center, With factory accessories and its affiliated stores.

1. The new caustic soda plant contains a number of productive and service buildings and steel structures representing
all units of the project.
2. Sulfuric Acid plant. (All equipment is exposed as required by the production process)

a. The current status of the company's accounting records reflects the real value of the financial position
of the company and operates according to the international and Iraqi accounting standards.
b. The introduction of financial data in a sophisticated electronic system (electronic calculator) and in
accordance with advanced systems in line with the global systems (the unified accounting system) and the
system of warehouse systems as well as cost systems and analysis of expenses and other modern systems.
c. Our company operates an advanced accounting system where all the required reports are extracted
during the first days of the month concerned and are extracted (the sales book and the balance of the
issued and the other) before the specified time and then the balance of the monthly audit which expresses
the balance sheet and profit and loss account and cash flow statement.
d. Payments shall be negotiated in accordance with the plan established by the Company under the current
circumstances of the country.
e. Accounts receivable in the Company are carried out in accordance with an advanced mechanism that

The costs of the current activity of the plans are going according to the plan and depends on the monitoring
system in calculating the actual costs of each product (production control + production + marketing +
administrative services) and it depends on an advanced cost system to calculate the costs of raw materials
and wages and indirect industrial costs with the profits.
