1. Answer all questions from the following. 2*5=10


i. What is computer? And how many parts of a computer?
ii. Distinguish between RAM and ROM?
iii. What is operating system?
iv. What is startup disk?
v. What are the uses of computer in geography?

2. (i) Answer the following questions using MS WORD and save a folder with your registration number. 30
(a) Type the paragraph above as it is using “Times New Roman”, font size 14, spacing 1.5.
(c) Align to your paragraph to justify.
(d) View the file you have created using print preview option.
(e) Take a print out of this document through print option.

Geography is the study of places and the relationships between people and their environments. Geographers
explore both the physical properties of Earth’s surface and the human societies spread across it. They also
examine how human culture interacts with the natural environment and the way those locations and places
can have an impact on people. Geography seeks to understand where things are found, why they are there,
and how they develop and change over time.

(a) Compute the total marks and percentage of each student by entering appropriate formula.
(b) Compute the grades based on following criteria.
If percentage >= 90 then grade = A; If percentage >= 80 and <90 then grade = B; If
Percentage >= 70 and <80 then grade = C; If percentage >= 60 and <70 then grade = D; If
Percentage < 60 then grade = E
(c) Draw a bar graph showing percentage score of individual student.
