I. INTRODUCTION
Street automation plays a very important role in the global economy and in everyday life. Automatic systems
are preferred over handmade programs of any kind. We can also call it the "SMART STREET LIGHT SYSTEM".
The smart light sensor refers to public street light, which is familiar with the movement of pedestrians, cyclists,
and motorists. street lights, also called adaptive streetlights, dim when no work is available but light up when
movement is detected. Research shows an automatic control of traffic lights, which may save some energy. In
terms of industrial development, automation goes a step further than machinery. Functional muscle needs,
automation greatly reduces the need for human mental and sensory needs. Basically, street lighting is one of
the most important parts. The number of roads is increasing rapidly due to the congestion of many vehicles.
II. METHODOLOGY
Initially, it is necessary to make connections according to the wiring diagram. The code is very important to use
all equipment. In recent days, the Smart Street Light system is a key part of a smart city infrastructure. An
important function is to illuminate city streets using sensors to save current or energy. In the current system
that uses standard street lights, it requires more energy and is more expensive, so we should use LED lights to
save energy and the minimum amount of energy required. The use of the IoT system type is worldwide. It is
used to control the types of urban areas.
The whole project is divided into five main categories listed below:
• MICROCONTROLLER
• FRARED Sensors
• LIGHT RESISTANCE
• LIGHT EMITTING DIODE
• RESISTOR
The above paragraphs are summarized as follows:
MICROCONTROLLER
The Arduino UNO is a small controller used in this project, based on ATmega328. It is an electronic platform
with open source software and easy-to-use hardware. It reads imprint light, finger button, etc. It has 14 analog
inputs outputs and 6 pins. The software used by this microcontroller is ARDUINO IDE.

INFRARED SENSORS
An infrared sensor is an outlet to detect certain features of the environment around us. The IR sensor can
measure the temperature of an object in addition to detecting movement and the presence of an object due to
interference or disturbance. This type of sensor measures only infrared radiation, and instead of emitting the
so-called idle IR sensor, the IR sensor is simply a device that detects IR radiation.

LIGHT DEPENDENT RESISTANCE
For LDRs or Light Dependent Resistors they are very useful, especially for light / dark sensor circuits. Normally
the LDR resistance is very high, sometimes up to 1000000 ohms, but when lighted up the resistance decreases
significantly. Electronic devices in sensors are tools that change their electrical characteristics, where there is
visible or invisible light. The most well-known devices of this type are light dependent resistor (LDR),
photodiode, and phototransistors. The light-dependent resistor, as the name implies, depends on the light on
the switching switch.

FEATURES:
1. High reliability.
2. Lightweight Weight.
3. Wide Spectral Response.
4. Wide range of ambient temperature
LIGHT EMITTING DIODE
A light-emitting diode (LED) is a two-conductor semiconductor light source. This is a pn junction diode that
emits light when is on. The long terminal is positive and the short terminal is negative. When adequate current
is applied to conductors, electrons are able to recombine with electron holes in the device, releasing energy in
the form of photons. This effect is called electroluminescence, and the color of the light (corresponding to the
energy of the photon) is determined by the band gap energy of the semiconductor. LEDs are generally small
and integrated Optical components can be used to shape the radiation pattern.

III. MODELING AND ANALYSIS
Fig 6: BLOCK DIAGRAM OF IMPLEMENTED PROJECT
The following describes the process of intelligent traffic light using IR sensors. Here are the various steps
involved in creating a smart street light. The output of the LDR pin is connected to port A5 (analog) of the
Arduino Uno board. Connect all IR sensor outputs to port numbers A0 and A1 respectively (analog) which is the
Arduino board input signal. Connect the ground to all the IR sensors in the GND port. LED output signals are
connected to ports 2 and 3 respectively. Reconnect all negative LED terminals in the GND port. Power is sent to
Arduino (712V).

IV. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
LDR is hidden at the end of the fingers, creating natural conditions of darkness. Due to the light, the resistance
of the LDR is very low, which currently allows it to pass through the LDR circuit. Thus, the LEDs are dimly lit,
the figure indicates that the first IR sensor detects the object and illuminates the corresponding LED and the
next LED at full intensity keeps all the LEDs dimmed.

V. CONCLUSION
In the above-mentioned system, we have developed an Arduino-based street light. The proposed system should
illuminate the streets in remote and urban areas. The proposed system reduces energy consumption and
human effort. The current picture is similar to that, street lights will be switched on at night before sunset, and
will be replaced the next morning after there are enough lights on the streets. An obstacle to the apparatus is
that a person sets the manual operation of a robot that requires staff. On sunny and rainy days, time and rest
are significantly different which is one of the major obstacles to today's systems. ) and organization Remote
web is accessible, fast response, reliable operation and traffic light measuring panels are achievable. The
purpose of this work is to introduce the Smart Street Lighting framework, the first way to meet the interest of
flexible smart lighting systems. The purpose of the company is to set up an automated lighting board that
focuses on energy saving; build a smart energy-saving light panel with built-in sensors and control; defining a
smart lighting framework with a specific methodological system, which makes adaptation, expansion and
configuration of the framework into a smart lighting framework that is similar to flexibility with other
commercial products and automated system, which can include more than one lighting panel. The automation
of street lighting in India is not enough. Anyone should light up by hand and if one forgets to turn on the traffic
light, it can be as much of a problem for pedestrians as street cars. Our suggestion makes it possible to identify
traffic movements or roadblocks. We have used 2 IR sensors 2 LEDs 1 LDR sensor that plays a key role in
turning on and off the lights. The Arduino UNO microcontroller works as a visual connector while converting
the analog input form into a number and turning on the light. Code is downloaded from Arduino using Arduino
cable using a computer.
