1 Introduction
Nowadays, Internet play’s important role in our day to day social, economic, and many activities.
Internet have many features; Web site is one of the features of internet. Web site helps people to
get information, to access data from anywhere easily, also it has different categories like
Education, Entertainment, Health, Advertisement, and Social network. In our project we try to
develop web-based vehicle advertisement for New motorcycle and Bajaj shop.
Advertisement is one of the easiest methods to give information about products. Nowadays,
developed countries use different advertisement methods like online advisements using
different popular social networks, entertainment and sport websites.
Developing an online Advertisement system will solve some the problems faced by many users
and owners and will also make the information more accessible for them, so we are trying to
develop a system that will be an easy searching tool for them.

1.1. Background of the project

“New motorcycle and Bajaj shop” is located in Wolaita Sodo town and the town is located in
southern part of Ethiopia in South Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Regional State, Wolayita
zone, at a distance of 390 km from Addis Ababa through Shashemene and 329 km through
Hosaina and 167 km from Hawassa the regional capital. The establishment of New motorcycle
and Bajaj shop was on 2000 E.C. The owner of the Shop is Ato Nasir Ahmed. At this time the
Shop gives different services to customers such as Vehicles, Motors, and other Vehicles goods.
For the future, the owner of the shop has an idea to build a wide Company for the vehicle
materials. Currently the World is going to be come in once. The introduction of modern
computers since1940’s changing the way people live, learning their environment and the way
they gather information, process, and store data and communicate accurate and timely
information in their daily activities. Therefore, without using recently technological products
especially computers, it is impossible to think about social, cultural and economic development.
So, in this century using information and communication technology especially the sophisticated
and amusing machine known as computer and modern information handling in any aspect is a
question of survival. Therefore, the system we do to analyze in this project is about New
motorcycle and Bajaj Shopping management system. We try the best way to advertise and make
the complicated process of Shopping Management System New motorcycle and Bajaj as simple
as possible using Structured & Modular technique & Menu oriented interface.

1.2.Motivation
The group is motivated in order to solve the problems in manual vehicle Advertisement for New
Motorcycles and Bajaj Shop. Online advertisement serves the purpose of promoting products,
services, and businesses to a wide audience on the internet. After seeing this type of work, we
were inspired and decided to immerse ourselves in this situation to help others easily find New
Motorcycle and Bajaj Shop in Wolaita Sodo, as not everyone is familiar with the process.
Getting involved in this task was not as easy as we had initially thought, but it motivated us to
proceed. online advertisements are beneficial for anyone looking for products. Our goal is to
assist those in need by showing them the simple way to connect with their desired products.

1.2. Statement of the Problem

We have seen problems in the current system and we noticed that we can cope up with these
problems by our field of study.
There is time wastage, when the customer want to buy goods they should come to the shopping
Center, at that time they waste their time as well as they may not get what they wants exactly.
Other problem of existing system is that there is no advertisement so all customers do not know
what goods are there in New motorcycle and Bajaj shop. Reach ability is also another problem,
which means, the shop is only restricted in Wolaita Sodo. In addition that the current system
does not work 24 hours, it is difficult to generating report.

1.3 Objectives of the Project 5

1.3.1. General Objective

The general objective of this project is to develop interactive web based advertisment system for
in New motorcycle and Bajaj shop to facilitate selling and buying process.

1.3.2. Specific Objective

To achieve the above-mentioned general objective, the project addressed the following specific
objectives. The system provides the following:

 Reviewing the existing system problems

 Requirement gathering

 Requirement analysis

 Designing GUI

 Implementation and deploying.

1.4. Methodology for the Project

1.4.1. Data Gathering Methods
Data collection is one of the important tasks in determining and analyzing the existing system.
The data that need to develop the new system are obtained from New motorcycle and Bajaj
shopping Center. To gather data and information related to shopping from the related sources of
the existing system the team used the following techniques.

Interview
The most important method that helped us to get most important and critical information about
the general view of the Shop is by interviewing manager of the Shop, seller of the Shop and
some customers.

We ask some questions for Example:-

 How do they work currently?

We have got responses from the New motorcycle and Bajaj shop employees and they said that,
customer comes physically to the shop and buy items. As they said when customer buy item
from the shop they pay money to the seller then seller prepare receipt for item and customer take
item.

 Have they any computerized system?

New motorcycle and Bajaj shop manager said that, the current system uses manual system that
means all activities are performed by agenda.

 What is the problem of the current system?

Firstly, as the shop manager said, to control employees, item and customer information it is very
complex and difficult. Then, as the employee of shop express to identify amount of item that
have in the shop is very difficult. Lastly, we asked customers and their response was buying item
from the shop is consumes time and also there is no price agreement between seller and customer
1.5. Document Analysis
1.5.1. System Analysis and Design approach

There are two approaches of system development and they are:

 Traditional approach (SAD)

 Object Oriented approach (OOSAD)

For our proposed online advertisement and job vacancy system we used the object oriented
system analysis and design approach, OOSAD is a software engineering approach that models a
system as a group of interacting objects that works together to accomplish a task, by using
Unified Modeling Language .This is because it includes the overall features of OOSAD and an
approach which bases on objects rather than data and process separately, so we have chosen this
method due to the following benefits:

 It enables us to reduce the communication gap between user and designers.

 Increasing code reusability because of inheritance, polymorphism and Modularity.

 Reusability of objects, will reduce the time and cost of writing software as well as
reducing errors.
 Enhance extensibility. In OOSAD, classes have both data and functionality.
 Reduce maintenance burden due to modularized features of object-oriented approach.
 To simplify the design and implementation of complex programs.
 Improve the communications among the user, analysts, designer and programmer.
 Models the real world more clearly than structured approach.

1.6 Tools for System development

Hardware and software tools required for successful completion of the projects are listed below
