Micro–Project Report
To Configure Wireless Network using Cisco Packet
Tracer
1.0 Rationale
Configuring a wireless network using Cisco Packet Tracer involves setting up
and managing various network components such as routers, switches, and
access points within a simulated environment. This process allows users to
design, configure, and troubleshoot wireless networks without the need for
physical hardware. Through Packet Tracer, users can practice configuring
network settings like SSIDs, security protocols (WPA2, WPA3), encryption
keys, VLANs, and DHCP services. Additionally, Packet Tracer provides a
platform for hands-on learning, network design and planning, troubleshooting
skills development, resource accessibility to Cisco devices and features, cost-
effective training, realistic network simulation, and preparation for Cisco
certifications such as CCNA or CCNP. Overall, configuring a wireless network
using Cisco Packet Tracer offers a comprehensive learning experience and
practical preparation for real-world networking scenarios
2.0 Course outcomes
A. Analyze the functioning of data communication and computer network.
B. Select relevant transmission media and switching techniques as per need.
C. Analyze the transmission errors with respect to IEEE standards.
D. Configure various networking devices.
