3.1 DESIGN CONCEPT AND ASSUMPTIONS

The analysis Steel box was analyzed & designed using SAP 2000 based on reference
codes mentioned in section 2.1 of this report.
The steel box was modeled as frames .
Wind loads were added and applied normal in steel box and considered as uniformly
distributed load.
Support model reactions were considered in connection design.

WIND LOAD ACCORDING TO ASCE -7-22

1- Velocity Pressure (qz)

Velocity Pressure (qz= 0.613 *kz*kzt*ke*v2) N/M2

GATE height = 2.90 M

Velocity Pressure Exposure coefficient kz= 0.57

Ground Elevation Factor ke = 0.85

Topographic Factor kzt = 1
Risk Category = II given
Building Exposure Category = B given

Ultimate Wind Speed v = 38 m/s

qz= 0.613 *0.57*1*.85*38*38= 0.428 KN/m2

2 :- Wind Pressure

Windward wind coefficient CP = 0.80

Windward Wind Pressure = 0.428 * 0.80 = 0.343 KN/M2 = 0.034T/M2

Vinylester mortar, styrene free

PRODUCT
MIT-SE Plus Vinylester mortar, styrene free. European Technical Approval Option 1 for cracked and non-cracked concrete with anchor rod
and with rebar used as anchor. Fire resistance test certification F30-F120. VOC free according to Swiss legislation and certified A+ according
to DEVL 1101903D / DEVL 1104875A. LEED - Test Report. Certification for drinking water Systems. The anchor may also be used under
seismic influence for performance category C1. Universal mortar for highest loads in almost all building materials. Application also in damp
and water-filled drill holes. Variable setting depth. Suitable for overhead Fixings. Simple and speedy working. Styrene free and low odour.
Colour of mortar: grey, Indoor (zinc plated) and outdoor (stainless steel) applications.

DESIGN CALCULATION
This calculation is based on specific values exclusively for the product above.
Any changes to the brand or physical conditions for design will require a recalculation of the anchor design.

ANCHOR PLATE
The design program assumes, in accordance with EOTA TR029, that the anchor plate does not deform as a result of applied actions.
Thus, and in accordance with EOTA TR029, the anchor plate shall be sufficiently stiff and its design should be carried out according to
standards for steel structures ensuring elastic behaviour.

INSTALLATION
All conditions of the European Technical Approval (ETA) and Mungo technical publications shall be complied with in all detail.
The load values are valid only if the installation has been carried out correctly.

ADDITIONAL PROOFS
The designing and calculation of the anchorage should be carried out in accordance with EOTA TR029.

ATTENTION
The loads as well as the installation data can vary. Please consult our website [Link] to download the newest version.

V Rk,c = 87.51 kN
γ Mc = 1.40

V Rd,c = 62.50 kN β v Concrete Edge Failure 83%

The selected edge distance does not allow ETAG001 Annex C or TR029 design methods to be applied.
Consequently, for anchor groups, the calculation is carried out on all possible subgroups made of two anchors
only. Additionally only the anchor row closer to the considered edge, which could consist in one anchor only, is
assumed to take up entirely the shear load. The reported results are referred to the most unfavorable conditions.
Please refer to the ACP-Method I design guide for more information.

UTILISATIONS (Anchor 1)

Steel βN = 3% βV = 32% β = β 2N + β 2V = 10%

Concrete βN = 7% βV = 83% β = (βN + βV ) /1.2 = 75%

RESULT

Ok. The product meets the design criteria

REMARKS
The verification of anchor design cases covered by ETAG 001 or TR29 is performed according to the selected Guideline. The
verification of anchor design cases non-covered by guidelines is based on the selected Guideline. Further information can be found
inside ACP Design Guides. The loads acting on anchors are evaluated according to the theory of elasticity, assuming that the anchor
plate does not deform under the design actions. To ensure the validity of this assumption the anchor plate shall be sufficient stiff. The
user must verify this condition, since the base plate stiffness is not automatically calculated by the software. The transfer of loads from
anchors into base material must be verified in accordance with ETAG 001 Annex C or TR29 Section 7. The design method is valid only
for clearance hole in the fixture with a diameter not larger than the values given in ETAG 001 Annex C or TR29 Table 4.1.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
The data input to this software, and the relative results, must be checked by the user under the responsibility of an engineer
experienced in anchorages and concrete work. This is to ensure there are no errors and all data is complete and accurate and complies
with all rules and regulations for the actual conditions and application.
The data contained in this software relates only to the product illustrated therein and is based on principles, formulas and safety
regulations according to the existing guidelines for anchorages into concrete, together with the knowledge of the manufacturer.
The user must comply with these principles. The user is solely responsible for the data entered into the program and any errors or
omissions are the responsibility of the user. The user must ensure that the most current version of the program is installed by way of
the auto-updating function offered by the manufacturer.
The user must update the program when instructed to do so.
The aim of the program is to act as a calculation aid and to assist in complying with current regulations and guidelines, without any
guarantee of suitability for any specific application.
