Dear Parents,
DAV Public School Thane is pleased to organize the following activities in June under ECO CLUB for
the students of Std VI to X.
GRADE VI to VIII
1) RALLY -
Topic - ‘Ban on Plastic’
Students will take rally with placards and signboards suggesting affordable alternatives to plastic.
2) BEST FROM WASTE
Make a cloth bag from old used clothes.
Make an organizer from old used cardboard/plastic boxes.
3) EXTEMPORE COMPETITION ON THE TOPIC
।। वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम ् ।। Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam
(One Earth, One Family, One Future) with reference to
Environment. Time limit: 2 min
GRADE IX and X
1) CLASSROOM DISCUSSIONS
Groups of 4 to 5 students each, will be discussing on
environmentally sustainable and responsible choices -
A) At Individual lifestyle level
B) At National level based on tourism, agriculture, energy
transitions, etc.
2) COLLAGE MAKING
Groups of 4 to 5 students will make a collage of pollution
facts on plastic, air, water, and soil .
Eg. Plastic bottles can take up to 450 years to decompose!
# GUEST SPEAKER ON ENVIRONMENT
To promote awareness about “Clean and Green planet”.
# PLASTIC AND E-WASTE COLLECTION
Citing the importance of the '3Rs', students will collect plastic& E-waste from their home and bring it
to the school for their safe disposal. The schedule will be shared with the students.
PLEASE NOTE: Participation is mandatory. Students are to take part in any one of the activities.
