AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical experience
MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint) proficiency
Bonus qualification for any familiarity with PLC’s, ladder logic, HMI’s, electrical panels, wiring
diagrams, NEC and/or NFPA 70E code, networking, 24VDC to 480VAC circuit design, energy
savings, and/or robotics.
Working knowledge of CAD MEP and Revit MEP are preferred
Works in both Revit MEP and AutoCAD MEP on 3D projects; including maintaining multiple
models, creating views, accurate object placement, and UCS manipulation
Working knowledge of CAD MEP and Revit MEP are preferred
Basic understanding of codes and standards for raceways and cabling systems based upon the
NEC (NFPA 70) and TIA Standards, preferred
Short Circuit and Arc Flash Models using SKM Power Tools.
Autodesk AutoCAD Mechanical and/or Inventor
Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD
Chugach Electric Association, Inc. - The intern project will involve modeling and analyzing the
power generation, transmission, and distribution systems. The tools used for this project can
involve one of several tools used at Chugach Electric including programs such as PSS/E,
PowerWord, SynerGEE, or GenTrader.
Howmet Aerospace Inc. - Providing engineering innovations to increase safety, quality,
reliability, and availability of the plant facilities.
Investigate, design, engineer, justify and implement improvement activities.
Write, modify, debug and troubleshoot programs in PLCs, HMIs and MES systems using Ladder
Logic, Python and Ignition.
Learn Howmet’s EHS systems and applying them to the manufacturing plant floor to improve
safety and overall working conditions of the employees.
Observing the plant’s operations in an assigned area and working with a senior member of the
engineering staff as a mentor to complete assigned tasks.
Attending daily management meetings as required to represent the engineering department
with project updates and/or receiving new jobs.
Using AutoCAD or Solid Works, to complete drawing updates.
Working closely with Maintenance, Production, Continues Improvement, and other
departments as needed to plan work activities.
Continuing to learn the craft of electrical engineering (project, electrical and automation
engineering).
Working knowledge of Auto CADD, REVIT, and Microstation along with computing production
tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred
CAD experience, preferably AutoCAD,
Revit experience preferred,
MDI (Multi-Dimensional Integration) - PLC & HMI programming on various platforms
SCADA/MES application development on various platforms
Drives and motion control on various platforms
Microsoft operating systems, office and networking
