So rule no 1 today itself

1) lagnesh, 9th lord and 10th lord wherever they sit or conjuct whichsoever planet that planet and
place becomes auspicious
Elaboration for rule no 1- say lagnesh went to 8th and conjuct 3rd lord. So rule no 1 doesn’t
mean - that lagnesh would stop giving the result of ava yoga ( which gets created when lagnesh
occupies 8th ) that result will be very much there, but 8th house and third lord will become less
malefic, depending on the strength of the lagnesh

Rule no 2 - wherever 6,8,12 lord sit or conjuct whichsoever planet, makes them polluted
Elaboration for rule no 2 - so say 9th lord and 8th lord along with 10th lord occupy 5th house. So
there are two positive forces according to rule no 1, and one negative force according to rule no 2
working on 5th house. So depending on the strength of the 9th lord, 10th lord and and 8th lord
effect on 5th house should be said. But generally two positive forces so 8th lord will do
minimum harm to 5th house

Prior to these rules concept of functional benific and functional malefic is necessary to
understand. There are three natural benifics - Jupiter, Venus and mercury. When these auspicious
planets become lord of any bad houses and gets situated in malefic houses then they acquire the
status of functional malefic. Functional malefic means - though they are naturally benifics but
they would act as malefic for a said chart. In Taurus ascendant - Jupiter is the lord of 8th and
11th houses and if occupy 6th house. It will act as functional malefic, despite Jupiter is very
auspicious Same way - Saturn, mars, sun are natural malefics. Say Taurus ascendant - Saturn is
the lord of 9th and 10th house and occupies lagna. So though Saturn is natural malefic but it
would act as functional Benific.
A functional malefic can’t harm as much as a natural malefic will do and functional benific
won’t give as much support as a natural benific would do
Basically as natural benific - they can’t leave their natural tendencies despite they have Aquarius
malefic tendencies. They will get consumed in fighting with the maleficity of the malefic house
and thus get very weak. Also functional benific do not have natural tendencies of blessing so
they would bring blessings for sure but along with that their natural malefic tendencies too to a
said house
Rule no 3 - 1st lord, 9th lord and 10th lord even if they sit with 6th, 8th and 12th lord then too
after some efforts and endeavours good results are seen. The efforts and endeavours because
conjunction with malefics weakened their natural benific tendencies

Rule no 4- If a natural benific aquires a ashubh bhav then it gets very polluted, and unable to
give good results. But because it’s a natural benific it will lessen the bad and inauspicious effect
of the bad house

Rule no 5- malefic planets in malefic houses are good. As in if Saturn mars occupy 6-8 houses
it’s good. Any planet in own house is good

Rule no 6- any Kendra lord exchanging signs with kona lord is a very special combination in
Vedic astrology. Even if this Kendra lord is natural malefic then also it will do good. Very
auspicious results .

Rule no 7 - Any karak planet doing 5/9 , 3/11, 4/10 with own bhav is good for the bhav. Karaka
planet doing 6/8, 2/12 weakens the bhav

Elaboration for rule no 7- sun is the karaka for lagna. So sun being in 3rd,5th, 9th, 11th and 4th
house will give strength to lagna as in, body will be strong. Same way say you are Gemini
ascendant so lagna lord is mercury - so if sun makes a relationship with mercury which is
5/9,4/10, 3/11 with budh also then body will be strong. You have to see one more thing that what
relationship this lagnesh has with lagna. 5/9, 3/11 and 4/10 relationships are good relationships,
2/12, 6/8 bad relationship
List of karakas

Sun -lagna 1st house

Jupiter - 2,5,9,11 houses

Mangal - 3rd house, 4th house too ( in matters of landed properties )

Moon - 4th house, Venus also is karak of fourth house when flat related matters are there

Saturn -6,8,12 houses, co karakatwa for 10th house too, along with sun and mercury

Professional matters of 10h house - sun will represent bosses, mercury peers and Saturn labour
class, subordinates

Venus - karaka of marriage for boys 7th house

Mars / Jupiter has karkatvas for girl marriage. Pati karak

Many people consider Jupiter as pati karak, many mars. I take mars as pati karak

Many parashari take mars, including me. Second thing mars is called - bhumi sut ( son of the
earth ), sot Jose who consider child as final result of marriage they will consider mars as pati
karak and rest everyone Jupiter. Jupiter being karak doesn’t mean that husband will be a guru. In
the olden times marriage were done so that the person is able to do yagyas( shiva- Shakti ).that is
why Jupiter is karak

Rule no 8- a debilitated planet in any bhav will kill the auspiciousness of that bhav where it is
situated, exalted planet will increase the auspiciousness of the bhav where it is situated. Acute
debilitated planets as in within the defined range of debiliation in 6-8-12 houses are rajyogkari

Rule no 9 -According to the principle of karako bhav nashyati - if a karaka planet occupies the
bhav, it will spoil the house. As in sun is the karak of lagna, so if sun occupies first house it will
give health issues. There are few exceptions to this rule. In a women horoscope Jupiter despite
being the karak of 5th house if occupies 5th house, instead of denying children will grant one
progeny, single progeny. So women with Jupiter in 5th should never go for abortion, because
there is only one child promised. Second exception - Saturn despite being the karak of 6-8-12
houses of occupies 6-8-12, instead of killing the bhav increases it. As per our earlier rule bad
planet in bad house is good.

Rule no 10- if bhav karak occupies third house from own bhav - native will have to work hard to
develop the house. Sun in third, health will be good with growing age, in childhood health issues
might be there

Rule no 11- if any bhav lord is debilitated, it will provide very inauspicious results for the bhav

Rule no 12 - the best situation is that bhav karak and bhav lord are doing 5/9,4-10,3/11 with each
other, and with the bhav also. And it should be aspected by benific planets. But if this situation is
not happening in that case at least one evil planet at least should aspect that bhav. If there is no
aspect on bhav then bhav goes inert

Elaboration for rule no 12 - say sun and mercury both went in 12th for a Gemini ascendant
person. And no planet is aspecting lagna. So health will be poor. Now it would have been very
best that if bhav lord and bhav karak for body not making an ideal relationship with bhav at least
Jupiter, Venus mercury should be aspecting the bhav. If they are not aspecting at least mars,
Saturn, moon and sun should aspect. If there is no aspect at all then very poor results for health
and body

Rule no 13- a inert or strengthless planet will provide no results

What an ideal situation- bhav karak, bhav lord both aspecting the bhav, they are doing
5/9,3/1,4/10 with the bhav, benifics are aspecting the bhav. Now I have told you the ideal state.
Now during chart seeing - keep this ideal in mind. For every positive influence on the bhav as
per the ideal situation you can give +1, and for every negative influence -1. See what’s final
score to analyse the strength of the bhav. I will explain through the same Gemini ascendant chart.

Let us assume that sun mercury both went into 7th, Jupiter 9th, Venus also 7th, and Saturn 11th,
mars 10th, moon of Krishna paksh pratipada in lagna
So what our ealier rule says bhav karak, bhav lord should do 5/9, 3/11 and 4/10

But here sun mercury went into 7th - so (-1)

Now second rule says bhav karak and bhav lord should aspect bhav, so (+1)

Now Jupiter aspecting lagna from 9th house (+1)

Venus aspecting lagna (+1)

Mercury (+1)

Saturn aspecting lagna (-1)

Mars aspecting lagna (-1)

Now how many plus 4

How many minus 3

End score is 1, so health will be mostly ok, but sun in 7th, is an ideal case for acidity issues. So
this person health will be good but will be disturbed at times because of acidity and nerve issue.
And this hypothesis chart leads us to another very important rule

Here you saw all the planets are influencing lagna, so Maharishi parashara says

Rule no 14- if all the planet have aspect on lagna or Chandra, it’s a rajyog. Very important rule
Rule no 14- if a bhav has benefice and malefics influence both, then depending on the positive
and negative influence, in the said planets dasha antar dasha the results will be felt.
Elaboration for rule no 14- say sun is aspecting the lagna and Saturn as well. So karak aspecting
bhav is a positive influence, and Saturn aspecting lagna is a negative influence. So Saturn dasha
will be hard for the native health wise. Same way sun dasha will be good for native. During the
sun- Saturn dasha health will be up down. Sometime good and sometime bad. Badness will
prevail more or goodness will prevail more will depend on the fact that who is stronger

Rule no 15- a set or combust planet aspects none. A set planet is very weak and gets inert, but
during its dasha antar dasha some of results should be said, depending on the nature of the
planet. A rising planet will hundred percent give its result.

Rule no 16- Venus and Saturn even if they get combust, don’t get inert, they will still give result

Rule no 17- any planet in 10th from lagna or Chandra is bound to provide prestige, designation
and money, even if its not yogakarak or anti lagna or anti moon

Saturn is the karaka of grief, so if it gets exalted, it will increase grief. People with exalted Saturn
will necessarily have marital discords. All other planets if exalted provide good results

Rule no 19- an exalted Saturn doesn’t like anybody’s bossism, so people with exalted Saturn will
always want to do own work, business rather than doing a job. A weak Saturn will like to do
regular 9-5 job

If Jupiter Venus mercury all three auspicious planets are in the Kendra or kona from lagna, it
provides a strength to the horoscope and whole life it saves native from hardships and obstacles

Rule no 21- if it’s a day birth and sun is either in 7th or 11th, or in case night birth and moon in
7th or 11th it provide horoscope with a strength, and alleys negative effect of other malefic
planets
Rule no 22 - if sun mars and Saturn occupy 3rd, 6th and 11th house then it provides strength to
the horoscope and alleys negativity of these ashubh bhavas

Rule no 23- Rahu also if occupies 3rd or 9th house it provides a strength to the horoscope

Rule no 24- libra, Sagittarius and Pisces ascendants if Saturn occupies lagna, it grants the
horoscope with universal strength

Rule no 25- if ascendant lord and aatm karak grah both are strong in horoscope then horoscope
gets a special strength. If ascendant lord and atmakatak both are weak then it’s not possible for
the native to live a normal life. Under this situation all the benific effects in horoscope also go
inert. If lagna and atma karak are strong then even if native is born into lower strata of society, he
will rise high

Rule no 26- after seeing lagna and atma karak, we should see 9th lord and 10th lord. 9th is the
gods motive in sending you on earth, and 10th is the support from the gods in achieving that
motive. 9th and 10th with decide the personality and designation of the person. If both of them
are weak native will have to struggle a lot to be something in life.

Rule no 27 - now after seeing, lagna, at karak, 9th lord and 10th lord we should see third house
and lord. Third is the entry gate of soul into the body, it’s the ambience too around native. Say
someone’s lagnesh, ATM karak, 9th lord,10th lord all strong but he is born in a house which has
neighbourhood in brothel or drunkards stay there. Obviously to achieve what 9th and 10th are
promising he will have to work too hard.

Rule no 28- now after seeing third lord, see 11th house and its lord. 11th is the gains, whatever
the native will gain in life lies there.

Rule no 29- if a planet sits in own house or exaltation house, we consider it strong

Rule no 30 - a planet if debilitated and occupies nakshtra of the planet in whose sign it gets
exalted, debiliation gets cancelled. The second way of debiliation cancellation - if a debilitated
planet’s dispositor is exalted then too debiliation gets cancelled. If debilitated planets gets
aspected by the dispositor then too debiliation gets cancelled. Now from this niche bhang if any
planet occupies is in Kendra, bich bhang rajyog happens

If a debilitated planet is conjuct with the bhav lord then it provides good result, but only after a
point of time
If two functional benifics both debilitated and exchange sign, it’s super nich bhang

Rule no 31 - Saturn gets asupiciously strengthened, if moon is one house ahead to Saturn

Only Jupiter and Venus if they do 2/12 provide good result, rest all the planets if they do 2/12
don’t provide good result

Rule no 32- a auspicious moon as in Shukla paksh Ekadashi to Krishna paksha tritiya moon,
increases mental strength of the native, but in case of this moon has aspect of Saturn then mental
tension and agonies are bound to happen. If moon is aspected by Saturn then the native will be of
dubious nature

Rule no 33- a Purnima moon even if occupies 6th or 8th house is bound to do good results, for
mars digbal and for moon paksha bal is important

Rule no 34- if 9th lord occupies 8th then during its dasha antar dasha there are no good results,
but if Jupiter is 9th lord and occupies 8th, then during its dasha antar dasha brihaspati will do lots
of good

Rule no 34- if 9th lord sits in 8th, then such planet will give very miserable status during its
dasha antardasha, but if Jupiter is 9th lord and it sits in 8th then during its dasha antardasha, it
grants very high status

Rule no 35- second lord sitting in 12th is not good, gives too much expenses unnecessary, but in
Aries ascendant if second lord goes 12th it’s good
Rule no 36- a conjunction of mars Saturn so it becomes difficult for native to get worldly
comforts without obstacles. Also it will give negative relationships with mother. This conjunction
is not considered good for material achievements. If 4th from mars is Saturn or mars Saturn are
in 7 axis then too the result is same. There is one more notable thing about mars Saturn
conjunction - if this conjunction is found in any native chart, they will be born in a family which
is originally not from the place the person is born. As in origins from some other place

Rule no 37- a full moon even if occupies 6th and 8th house it’s good

Rule no 38- if a planet is lord of two Kendras, and again it occupies a Kendra then that planet has
Kendradhipati dosh. Such dosh will be possible in only dual signs. In Mithun lagna Jupiter will
have less kendradhipati dosh because it’s the lord of 10th too, and 10th is considered biggest sky.
Same way in Dhanu lagna, mercury will have less kendradhipati dosh because of same reason.

Rule no 39- if a house lord sits one house ahead of own house, house gets strengthened, but if it
sits one house behind, house strength loss happens.

Rule no 40- a planet if auspicious or inauspicious occupies 11th house, it’s good only. All planets
give good result in 11th house
