Quality Assurance
PT. Geoace is committed to ensuring the work process in accordance with the work plan that has been
approved by the client, both in deliverable time and quality of work. We have Quality Management
System ISO 9001:2015. We implement PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Action) in the work process to produces
quality product/services, so that customer satisfaction can be achieved.
A. Planning
This stage is to ensure that all elements involved in this work have been properly prepared, including:
1. Documents
• Work Plan (Terms of Reference, Schedule, HSE Plan, etc.),
• Work Instructions,
• SPK for personnel who will go to the Site,
• QA/HSE forms: Daily report, Daily Drilling Report, Work Permit, JSA, etc.
• Equipment calibration documents
• Equipment delivery waybill
• Journey Management Plan for tools and personnel
• Etc.
We socialized these documents to all Project Team, to ensure all personnel understand the whole
work procedures
2. Equipment
We ensure the equipment we use:
• Meet with the specifications and approved by the client
• Inspection and calibration have been carried out, so that all the equipment we send is in good
condition.
• Checking the equipment list to ensure that all equipment needed are not left behind.
• We use the forwarder company who have a good reputation, to ensure the equipment arrive
on time.
3. Personnel
we ensure the personnel involved in this work
• Fit to work
• Meet with the client requirement
• Understand work procedures and work safety procedures
• Have the required document (passport and covid-19 vaccine certificate, etc)
B. Work Implementation
The work implementation consists of:
1. Preparation
So that work preparations can run effectively, before the entire team and equipment arrived, we
will put the first team (engineer and operator), to arrange work permits to clients and the local
government, checking work locations, residences, provide logistics and preparing local labor who
will involve during the work process. After the equipment and all teams are complete, we will
conduct HSE induction and meeting with client and coordinating with all team to determine the
process of moving the equipment to the first work location effectively and efficiently.
2. Work Process
The work process carried out by the drillers and operators will be supervised by the
Engineer/Geologist, to ensure the work process is carried out in accordance with procedures
(borehole coordinates, drilling, core taking, required tests, rock description, sample treatment,
delivery samples to storage or to be tested in the laboratory, etc.) and comply with work safety
procedure. We ensure our personnel use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), conduct a toolbox
meeting before work begins. Working progress will be recorded and reported every day to the
Team Leader and Project Manager, including if there are problems during the work process.
3. Work Completion
When completing field work, we will ensure that the work area is left in a clean condition from
work waste or oil spills.
C. Work Checking
The project manager will control all the work process, to ensure it can be completed on time with the
very good quality in accordance client requirement.
If we find a problem during the work process, Project Manager will issue a Correction Preventive
Action Report (CPAR) to the Team Leader that has to provide information:
1. Write in detail a chronology of the problems, example : work progress is delayed
2. Problem analysis. Team leader can use the fish bone method, root causes analysis or 5W 1H to
identified root cause. Example : the delayed of work process can be caused of broken machine
parts, incompetent personnel, social problem, permit problems, weather problems, work
environment problems, etc.
3. Corrective action taken to fix the problems, for example repairing machines immediately,
providing assistance for incompetent personnel, improving work permits and intensify
coordination between teams and clients
4. Preventive action needed to minimize the problems for the future.
5. Monitoring effectively of corrective and preventive action that have been taken.
D. Follow up Action Stage
To prevent the problems occurring again, comprehensive preventive action is needed, for the
example:
• Providing spare parts machines that often break down
• Provide a mechanic in the site to fix the broken machine more quickly (for long term project)
• Conduct training to increase personal skills
• Review the quality management system regularly, to ensure work procedures can be
implemented in the site effectively and efficiently.
This QA/QC process will be carried out continuously, to ensure every project run smoothly with very good
deliverable, so that customer satisfaction which is company’s goal can be achieved.
