Tides in / tides out Attentiveness, Listening skills

● Draw a line representing the seashore and ask students to stand behind the line.
● When the teacher shouts “Tides out!”, everyone jumps forwards over the line.
● When the teacher shouts “Tides in!”, everyone jumps backwards over the line.
● If the teacher shouts “Tides out!” twice, students needs to be still..
● One who moves will be out of game.

2. Five islands Attentiveness, Listening skills, Team work

● Divide the class into 5 groups.


● Draw five circles using chalk on the floor, big enough to accommodate all of the
students participating in the game.
● Give each island a name. Ask everyone to choose the island that they would like
to live on.
● Then warn participants that one of the islands will sink into the sea very soon
and participants on that island will be forced to move quickly to another island.
● Allow the suspense to build and then call out the name of the island that is
sinking.
● Participants run to the other four islands.
● The game continues until everyone is squashed onto one island.

3. Front - Back Attentiveness, Listening skills

● Ask students to stand in a line


● When teacher says FRONT, students should jump forward.
● When teacher says BACK, students should jump backwards.
● Teacher should repeat the orders in shuffled manner.
3. Blindfold Team work, Listening skills, Collaboration

● Ask students to split in three groups.


● Draw a rough sketch of a girl face (as given in picture).
● One of the students from opposite team blindfolds the student
● Student from each group to come and draw a bindi exact in between the
eyebrows.
● Team can guide the student to reach blackboard by guiding the directions, right,
left, middle, up, down etc and finally put bindi. parallely, opposite team can
distract the person saying left, right, up, down, no no wrong side etc
● Each team gets only 60 seconds to complete the task.
● And, one point for one rightly put bindi.
● Team who get more points is the winner.

4. Walk and Stop Attentiveness, Listening skills, Concentration

● Ask all the students to spread around the classroom.


● Say walk and the students should walk in any direction.
● Say stop and the students should stop where they are.
● If any student move, he/she is out of the game.
● Do it for couple of rounds.
● For the next 3 rounds, students should do the opposite.
● For example: Say walk and the students should stop.
● Say stop and the students should start walking.
● If any one miss the instructions, he/she is out of the game.

6. I like you because Communication skills, Interpersonal skills

● Ask students to sit in a circle.


● And say what they like about the person on their right.
● It can be about their helping nature, play with me etc.
● Give them time to think about it first!
7. Four Corners Attentiveness, Listening skills, Concentration

● Give number to each corner of the room say- 1, 2, 3 and 4.


● Ask one student to stand in the centre with his eyes closed and start to count
from 10 to 0.
● Meanwhile other students tiptoes silently to go and stand in any of the
corners.
● Everyone must be at the corner when the center student says 0.
● He/she with his eyes closed should choose any number between 1-4.
● Students in that corner are out and return to their seats.
● Next the students redistribute themselves and the center student to choose
the other number and the game continues until one student is left.

8. Fruit salad Attentiveness, Listening skills, Concentration, Team work

● Divide the students into group of three to four.


● Name each group with name of fruits- such as oranges and bananas.
● Ask students to stand in a circle. One student should stand in the middle of the
circle.
● The facilitator shouts out the name of one of the fruits, such as ‘oranges’, and all
of the oranges must change places with one another.
● The person who is standing in the middle tries to take one of their places as they
move, leaving another student in the middle.
● The new person in the middle shouts another fruit and the game continues.
● A call of ‘fruit salad’ means that everyone has to change seats.
9. I’m going on a picnic
Attentiveness, Listening skills, Concentration
and I’m taking a …
● This is a guess the rule type game.
● Think of which items can be taken on a picnic, for example, it must be six letters
long, or it must start with a vowel.
● In this example, the rule is that the word must be an uncountable noun.
● Teacher: I’m going on a picnic and I’m taking milk. Student A: I’m going on a
picnic and I’m taking eggs. Teacher: No, you can’t take eggs. Student B: Can I
take orange juice? Teacher: Yes, you can take orange juice. And so on.
● Continue adding items to your picnic list until a student correctly guesses the rule
(the choices don’t have to make sense within the picnic scenario e.g. love,
information, air ).
● When you’ve finished, invite the students (alone or in pairs) to come up with their
own rules and let them run the game.

10. Balloon Volleyball Attentiveness, Team work

• Ask the students to form 2 teams standing opposite to each other on the ground.
( same position when we play volleyball )
• Instead of using a ball you have to use a balloon to pass it to the opposite team.
• Each team has to throw the balloon to the opposite team and if the balloon falls
within their boundary, the other team gets a point.

• If it reaches the opposite team they have to hit it back so their team does not lose
points.

• Continue until one team reach 5 points.


11. The Sun Shines on Attentiveness, Listening skills, Concentration

● Ask students to sit or stand in a tight circle with one person in the middle.
● The person in the middle shouts out “the sun shines on...” and names a colour or
clothing that some in the group possess.
○ For example, “the sun shines on all those wearing blue” or “the sun shines
on all those wearing socks” or “the sun shines on all those with brown
eyes”.
● All the participants who have that things/quality must change places with one
another.
● The person in the middle tries to take one of their places as they move, so that
there is another person left in the middle without a place.
● The new person in the middle shouts out “the sun shines on...” and names a
different colour or type of clothing.

12. Name-place-animal-thing
● Ask students to be seated.
● Ask students to divide the page of their notebook into four parts: Name, Place,
Animal, Thing.
● Request one student to come in front of the class and tell the alphabets. Ask
them to stop randomly.
● The student says what letter he stopped at, and the players have to write down
the names of a person, animal, thing, and place starting with that letter.
13. Freeze tag
● Teacher should pick 2 students from the class.
● Name one as Blue and another one is Yellow.
● Blue can tag anyone from class who are runner aground, they become
Freezed.
● Yellow can untag them and unfreeze.
● After a time gap calculate freezed and unfreezed members in the class.
● If freezed are more, then Blue is winner, and vice versa.

14. Pass the ball


● Ask all the students to sit in a circle.
● Turn the music on and ask all the students to pass the ball to his/her left
side.
● When the music stops, student holding the ball is out and he/she should
talk about his favourite food or sports or place in 5 sentences.
● Encourage them to speak in english.
● Continue the game with the rest of the students.
● Ask each student to talk about their likes/dislikes/hobby/aims.

● Ask all the students to stand in a row.


● On a ‘GO’ command, students should reach the other end either by hoping,
skipping, walking or running on their back.
● First student to reach the other end wins the race.
16. Identify the words: 10 mins
• Divide all the students into two teams. Say Team A and Team B
• Write 10-15 incorrect vocabulary words on the board relating to our body parts.
• For example- noes, eyse, fingers, hands, haed, heir, lig, shoulder, ;stomach and
so on.
• Ask two students from both the teams to come to the board.
• Give hint for one of the words like- I have 10 in my hands.
• First one to answer and circle the word and correct the spelling.
• If required give 2nd or 3rd hint.
• To earn an extra point, next 2 students from both the team to come and quickly
write the correct spelling of that word.
• Continue with the rest of the students until everyone has finished their turn.
• The team will get points if they are correct or incorrect the opposite team will get
points.
• The team wins who gains more points.

● Ask the students to sit in a circle.


● Pick one student from the circle.
● On the ‘go’ command, first student should say his/her favourite colour and pass
the ball to his/her left side of the circle.
○ For example: I like red colour.
● Continue until all the students have finished their first round.
● For the second round ask them to use ing in their sentence and pass the ball.
○ For example: I like dancing, it is raining and so on.
● Educate them to say the complete sentence.
● Correct them wherever required.

• small pieces of paper, one for each student
● Procedure
○ Give each student a small piece of paper.
○ Tell them to write three pieces of information about themselves on the
○ piece of paper. Two of these bits of information must be true, one is a lie.
■ My name is Saroja. (True)
■ I am married .(False)
■ I visited Dharwad. (True)
○ Tell the students to stand up and to hold their pieces of paper in front of
them.
○ They should walk around the classroom, read the information about
○ people and see if they can guess which statement is a lie.

● Ask the students to stand in a circle.


● If the strength of the students is more, divide the students into 2 groups and make 2
circles.
● Send a clap around the circle.
● The group tries to move the clap around the circle faster and faster with as much
synchronization as possible.
● One person starts (person A).
● They turn to the person next to them (person B) and the two clap at the same time
while making eye contact, as synced as possible.
● Person B then turns to person C and they clap at the same time.
● The clap continues like this around the circle.
● The group should try to pass the clap more and more quickly with as many perfectly
synchronized claps as possible.
20. Howdy Howdy
● Ask students to stand in a circle.
● One student walks around the outside of the circle and taps someone on the
shoulder.
● That person walks the opposite way around the circle, until the two people meet.
● They greet each other three times by name, in their own language.
● The two people then race back, continuing in opposite directions around the
circle, to take the empty place.
● Whoever loses walks around the outside of the circle again and the game
continues until everyone has had a turn.

21. Dog and the bone


● Split the group in two with one group on each side of the playing area along a
line.
● Place a ball/cloth (the bone) in the middle of the playing area.
● Each team must be numbered 1 to 12 (change this depending on group size).
● Teacher shouts a number and the two people with that number (on opposite
teams) must try to get the bone before the other one.
● When one gets the bone, the other can try to tag them before they get back to
their team line.
● The team scores points depending on how many times they manage to get the
bone.

22. Fish race


Ask the students to draw a fish of medium size on a waste paper.
● Ask them to cut the outline of the fish.
● Pair up the students, 4-5 pairs can perform the fish race.
● Ask them to come towards the teacher’s table and stand on one end.
● Keep the paper fish in front of them and start to blow the paper fish till it
reaches the other end of the table.
● The fish that reaches the other end first, will be the winner.
● Other students should cheer the players.
23. Guess the picture
● Materials
○ blackboard
● Procedure
○ One person comes to the front and starts to draw a picture.
○ The students must try to guess what the picture is before the person has
○ finished drawing it.
○ The person who guesses correctly comes to the front to draw another Picture.

23. Find someone who….


● The teacher should write on the board and the students should copy it. For
example,
○ ...… likes singing
○ ...… rides cycle
○ …... has two older brothers
○ ...… likes dance
● The students then stand up and have to ask each other questions to find
someone who "likes singing" or "likes dance".
● When they find someone they must write their name on the game sheet. They
should find a different person for each statement.
● The first person to complete their game sheet is the winner.

● Give each student a slip of paper
● Ask each student to write down three things they did at the weekend.
● Collect up the slips of paper and randomly read each one out.
● The students must guess whose weekend is being described.

● Ask students to sit in circle.
● One student should start the game by saying "my name is.." and a colour he/she
likes.
○ For example "My name is Kiran and I like the color purple."
○ The next person says "This is Kiran and he likes the color purple and my
name is Savita and I like blue."
○ The next person says "That is Kiran he likes purple, this is Savita and she
likes blue and I am Mahesh and I like the color pink."
○ It's a chain and the students have to repeat what the last people have said
about themselves.

● Ask students to sit in a circle.
● Teacher should pick one student and ask him/her to say an Alphabet.
○ Student says ‘D’.
● All other students in the circle should say one word starting from D.
● After the completion of one circle, teacher should pick another student to say
another alphabet.

● Teacher should draw two boundary lines at two ends of a room.
● One student stands in the middle of two boundary [Link]/she is a tagger.
● The rest of the kids line up at one boundary line.
● When tagger says GO they run towards other boundary line.
● Whoever the tagger tags has to stay and help him.
● Taggers should not move. They can tag others only moving their arms.
● This goes back and forth and last person to remain is winner.
28. Action time
● Ask the students to stand in a circle.
● Say a particular word and the students have to do the action.
● For Example
○ Sit: All the students should sit. ( one time )
○ Similarly say jump, say Hi, stand on one leg, twist your hip, turn right,
walk 3 steps forward, bend down and so on.
○ The one who misses will be out.

29. Sharks are coming/fire in the mountain/ fire in the motor

● Children walk around the room and the teacher should shout "The Sharks are
coming",
● The children shout "How many?".
● The teacher then shouts out a number and the children must get into groups of the
number shouted.
● The children who are left out, are out!

● Ask all the students to stand in a circle leaving one hand distance.
● Start playing any song either from your phone or by holding a spoon and a
plate.
● When the music is on, all the students should starting dancing.
● When the music stops, all the students should freeze or halt where they are.
● If any one moves when is music is off, they are out of the game.
● Continue until one or two student is left at the end.

● Teacher should play music.
● When the music starts students should pass the ball or any object around the
circle.
● Teacher can stop music in few seconds, once the music is stopped students
should stop passing the ball.
● The student who is holding ball will act or sing a song or anything requested by

● Later game continues in same way for rest of others excluding, the student who
performed.
32. Name game

• Ask the students to sit in a circle.


• Students need to pass the ball in a circle by saying their first name.
• When the first circle is complete, students should randomly throw the ball and
that student to say the name of the student who threw it.
• Continue until all the students have finished their turns.

● Materials:
○ 15-20 small objects and a cloth to cover them, paper and pencils
● Procedure:
○ The teacher or trainer collects 15-20 small objects, eg, a pencil, a leaf, a
rubber, a book, a paper clip, a stone, etc.
○ The teacher picks one object up at a time and holds them up and the
students call out what it is.
○ When the teacher has shown all the objects he/she cover them with a
cloth.
○ The students must write down all the objects they can remember.
○ The one who has remembered the most objects is the winner.

● Divide the class into 3 groups .
● Write below questions on blackboard.
● For example:
1. Jobs where you have to wear a uniform
2. Sports that are played with a ball
3. Foods that contain egg
4. Birds that lay eggs
● Three letter parts of the body – eye, arm, leg, hip, ear, toe jaw, rib, lip,
● Group which finishes first with highest correct answer is the winner.

35. Blind
● Pick on person from the class to be the caller. They have to be blindfolded, or
close their eyes.
● Name the four corners of the classroom (the names can be anything, e.g.
flowers, food, names of places etc...)
● The rest of the class have 30 seconds to run to one of those corners.
● The caller then shouts the name of one of the corners.
● Whoever is in this corner have to do an activity (10 jumping jacks, 10 sit ups, 10
wall push ups, dancing , singing).

36. Exercise Circle


● Ask students to stand in a circle.
● They should stand an arm’s length apart so that they have enough space to
move.
● Teacher should choose one leader and have them go to the middle of the circle.
● It is up to the leader to do one exercise and the rest of the class will follow.
● The exercise can be anything from jumping jacks to sit-ups.
● Teacher can choose 3-4 students one after the other.
37. Make a Letter
● Ask students to run in a circle.
● Teacher should call out a letter.
● And, students running in circle should arrange themselves to
form the letter called out by teacher.
● For Example:

38. Frog

● Get two students to be 'frogs' (squat down and have to jump like frogs.)
● they should work together to get everyone stuck in the mud by touching them.
Nobody can run or get up when they are stuck in the mud!

39. Backward theater


● For this funny theater performance, one “actor” sits on the “stage” (a table, for
example) and pretends to be a depressed person.
● The actor spends three minutes looking silently and seriously at the audience.
Meanwhile, the audience members do everything they can to get the actor to
laugh, or at least to smile, without touching the actor (so, no tickling).
● They make faces, tell jokes, and clown around.
● Can they get the actor to grin before the three minutes are up? If he grins or
the time runs out, the actor chooses a replacement to play in the next round.

● Ask all the students to stand in a row.
● On the ‘Go’ command, all the students should balance one book on their head
and walk towards the other end of the classroom/ground..
● Students who successfully balance the book and reach the end point, they
will win the game.

● Ask the students to sit in a circle.
● The teacher will hold the ball first and start the exercise by Introducing
herself/himself as below:
○ My name is ________ and In my free time I like to paint.
○ Painting is my favourite pastime.
● Now pass the ball to the next person encouraging them to do the same.
● Students can also look on the board and say what they like to do in their free
time.

• Ask them to follow the instructions.
• For example - On saying jump, everyone should jump once or twice.
• Similarly instruct the students to do the following actions or pretend to do so:
• wave your hands, walk, stop, cry, turn around, skip, eat, jump, say Hi,
stand on one leg, twist your hip, turn right, walk 3 steps forward, bend
down and so on.

● Ask the students to stand in their respective places.
● Teacher will start saying the months in the order.
● Students will repeat it with the teacher followed by the claps.
● Eg: If the teacher says January, the students will say January and then they
Clap,3 times.
● February, claps.
● Similarly follow the same thing with the days of the weeks.
● Teacher will point out each month as they say it aloud.
● Randomly point out 4-5 students, ask them to act like the teacher.
● Shout out the months and the students will follow you.
43. Names in the air
● Ask students to write their name in the air first with their right hand, then
their left hand.
● Finally, ask them to write their name in the air with both hands at the same
time.
● Once they practice this activity, students should come forward one after the
other to come forward and write any name in the air with both the hands
and others should guess it.
● Continue the activity in the same manner and add difficult words for fun.

44. Energizer

● Have the children form a large circle, sitting down, facing inward with the
teacher sitting in the middle of the circle. On the teacher's command "1,2,3,
Freeze!" all the students in the circle must freeze while sitting. If a student moves
they are eliminated. Continue playing until only a few students remain. Students
cannot lie down, hold their head up, or close their eyes. There is no arguing with
the teacher when eliminated and only the teacher can eliminate students.

● Choose 5 students of the class to be cats, everyone else is a mouse and wears a
tail (Handkerchiefs) in the back of their shorts.
● The mice run around and the cats try to catch them by pulling the tails out.
● Make sure tails are showing before starting and ask cats to collect tails that they
pull out.
● Count the tails at the end and the cat with the most tails is the winner.

● Ask students to sit in a circle.


● One leader thinks of a category, such as “Fruit”.
● And everyone should name a fruit within a limited time period.
● Leader usually counts to five.
● If someone takes too long time to give an answer or incorrect answer, then that
student is out.
● In the end, only one student remains.

47. Touch something blue


● Ask students to stand up.
● Explain that you will tell everyone to find something blue, and that they have to
go and touch it.
● This could be a blue shirt, pen, shoe or whatever.
● Continue the game in this way with different colours and set the time limit as 30
seconds or 1 minute.
● You can call out on suggestions for things to touch.

48. Banana game


● A piece of chalk or other objects such as a bunch of keys is selected.
● The students stand in a circle with their hands cupped behind their backs.
● Choose one student to stand in the middle.
● The teacher walks around the circle and secretly slips the banana/keys into
someone’s hand.
● The banana/key is then secretly passed, from one student to other, along the
circle from one hand to another.
● The student in the middle should observe and guesses who has the chalk
piece/keys.
● When successful, the student takes that place in the circle and the game
continues
with a new person in the middle.

● Traffic light game:
○ Teacher calls out the instructions and pretends to direct traffic.
○ The others follow the instructions.
○ If "RED" is called then everyone must stand still and silent.
○ If "GREEN" is called then everyone moves around quite fast.
○ If "YELLOW" is called then everyone moves around in slow motion.
○ Take it in turns to direct the traffic and shout the instructions.
● Talk about the traffic rules for the Land Transport:
○ Land transport : Traffic signals.

● Teacher picks one child to call out some instructions; for example, “Let’s
stand on our chairs!”
● In response, the others immediately cry out, “All right!” and follow the
suggestion.
● After that it might be, “Let’s throw our pencil cases up in the air,” or, “Let’s
shake our neighbors’ hands.” Each time, all the children yell, “All right!” before
following the instructions.
● After the third time, the person shouting out the instructions chooses a new
child to call out instructions by saying, “Now Mariah is going to tell us what to
do,” and again, the children delightedly cry out, “All right!”
51. Dancing on paper
● Teacher prepare equal sized sheets of newspaper
● Participants split into pairs.
● Each pair is given either a piece of newspaper or cloth.
● They dance while the teacher plays music or claps.
● When the music or clapping stops, each pair must stand on their sheet of
newspaper.
● The next time the music or clapping stops, the pair has to fold their paper half
before standing on it.
● After several rounds, the paper or cloth becomes very small by being folded
again and again.
● It is increasingly difficult for two students to stand on.
● Pairs that have any part of their body on the floor are ‘out’ of the game.
● The game continues until there is a winning pair.

53. Group Statues

● Divide the students into two groups.


● Ask the groups to move around the room, freely swinging their arms and gently
relaxing their heads and necks.
● After a short while, shout out a word. The group must form themselves into
statues that describe the word.
● For example, the facilitator shouts “laugh”. All the participants have to instantly
adopt, without talking, poses that show what ‘laugh’ means to them.
● Repeat the exercise several times with different words for them to pose.

54. Port/starboard
● Ask students to stand in the centre of the room.
● If the leader shouts “Starboard”, everyone runs to the right. If they shout “Port”,
everyone runs to the left.
● If they shout “Man the ship”, everyone runs back to the centre.

● Split the class into 2 teams.
● Each team takes one end of the rope.
● The teams have to pull on the rope to bring the opposite team towards them.

● Ask all the students to sit in a circle.
● Whisper a sentence ( example: I like to play volleyball )into the ear of the first
student.
● That student will now whisper what he/she heard to the next student and
continue until the last student has finished his/her turn.
● Please note: Sentence can be repeated only once.
● When the message reaches the last student, he/she should say that sentence
loudly to see how much the sentence has changed from the first whisper.
● Most of the time the sentence will be entirely different.

57. Energizer
● Ask the students to run in a circle.
● Once they complete one round ask them to sit in a circle.
● Ask them to draw a picture of any vegetable or fruit they like or any thing they
carry to school.

58. Mirroring
● To play the game, each student should find a partner.
● Choose one partner to start doing various motions.
● They move their harms, legs, or do any other motions.
● The child’s partner will try to mirror their motions.
59. Categories
● Ask students to sit in a circle.
● One student thinks of a category, such as Movies.
● In a circle, everyone must take a turn thinking of a Movie title.
● If someone takes too long to give an answer (the leader should count to five)
then that student is out
● And a new category begins. If someone gives an answer that doesn't make
sense or is incorrect, he is also out of the game.
● For example, if the category is VEGETABLES and someone says "banana" that
student is out.
● The game continues until only one person is left!

60. Individual activity


● Divide the class into 2 teams.
● Call one student from the first team and give them a word ( say swimming ) and
that student should act it ( without actual talking ) in front of this team.
● His/her team has to identify the word and say the word loudly.
● If the team answers it, they get a point.
● If they are unable to find out the word, teacher can help them or give them a
clue.
● Next call up a student from the other team and give a different word to act.
● For example:
○ Hot, cold, rain, windy, jump, dance, eat, drink, hop, skip.
○ Teacher can also include other words if required.
● Help them to say the words in English.
61. Arm swings
● Arm Circles or Swings:
○ Ask students to hold arms stretched from shoulders and turn in small
circles.
○ Or swing arms forward and back from the shoulder.
○ Do it for both the arms.
● After that ask them to run in one circle and sit.

62. Who are you?


● Ask students to sit in their respective places.
● Ask one student to leave the room.
● While one student is away, the rest of the participants decide any fruit name.
● Students to mimic clues of fruit.
○ For example:
■ Banana: Act peeling of banana and eating it.
● When the volunteer returns, he must guess which fruit is it.

63. Walking backward


● Ask all the students to stand in a row at one end of the ground.
● On the ‘GO’ command all the students should race with each other
to reach the other end.
● Catch is : Instead of walking forward they have to walk
backward. ( facing their back at front )
● First student to reach the other end wins the race.
64. Pair activity
• Ask all the students to stand in pairs.
• Each student has to remember their partner.
• Now ask one student from each pair to form an inner circle and the rest to form
the outer circle.
• Turn on the music ( either using your phone or use a spoon and a plate to create
the sound ) and the students standing outside has to walk in a clockwise and the
students standing inside has to walk in a anticlockwise( opposite direction ).
• When the music stops, each student to walk or run towards their partner and
hold their hands.
• Students who are unable to find their partner at a quicker rate, is out of the
game.
• Continue until only one pair is left at the end.

44.‘Three Words’ Ice Breaker
This is a good warm-up activity and it can also be useful to
discuss the importance of adapting to changing situations and
thinking on one’s feet.
Instructions
● Ask participants to agree on a random topic. It can be
anything from food to dogs, to rugby.
● Explain that each person should contribute with three words
to the story (and three words only at a time) and they will take
turns to contribute.
● Encourage the participants to say the first three words that
come to their mind. It does not matter if they make sense or
not.
● Try to move from one person to the other quickly.

45.5 Second Rule


● This fun game give students 5 seconds to name 3 things that
fit into a particular category, such as “Name 3 fiction books” or
“Name 3 insects.”
● Sounds easy, but five seconds isn’t much time! Buy the Five
Second Rule Jr. board game or get flashcards from
Quizlet online for free.
45.‘Big Lottery Win’ Warm-Up Activity
This game is good as a warm-up, for participants to familiarize
with each other and also to think [Link] can
discuss together or be separated into breakout rooms, depending
on the number of participants.
Instructions
● Explain to the participants to imagine that they have just won the
lottery. They have won 25 million Euros, GBP, dollars or any big
amount in the local currency of the country they are in.
● Give participants 5 minutes to list all the things they would do
with the money. There is no limit to the number of things they can
put down, as long as they can write them within 5 minutes.
● After 5 minutes are up, ask everyone to talk about their list and
discuss.
● If you wish to, you can then sort the items on the lists into logical
groups that you will find naturally evolve according to:
○ Material items
○ Friends and family
○ Travel and luxury
● Some other categories may also emerge
● Allow 5 minutes for the group to discuss the list. This normally
will occur very easily.

46.‘One Random Object’ Virtual Training


Activity
This icebreaker is a fun game, aimed at making participants feel

are losing focus.
Instructions
● Ask a participant to pick one random object that is in their
room and not tell anyone what it is.
● Explain that the other participants will have to guess what it
is, by asking questions that require a yes or no answer.

Activity
This activity is suitable for those who like history and as a trainer,
it can help you to introduce a bit of imagination to your icebreaker.
Instructions
● Ask your participants: ‘If you could go back or forward in time,
where would you go?’ ‘Why?’ You can then follow up with
questions such as ‘Is there a person you would like to meet?’
● Ask participants to share the answers.

● Hangman is a simple game of trying to guess a word or


phrase. To do this on Zoom, one player will share their screen
so everyone can see the Zoom Whiteboard.
● Then they use the annotation tools to draw out a Hangman
board.
● Next, each player takes a turn guessing a consonant or vowel
to see if they can figure out what the word or phrase is.
● Players need to figure out the word before they run out of
guesses on the Hangman.
