ABOUT THE TRAINING &
PLACEMENT CELL
The Training & Placement Cell, established in 2005, has
consistently facilitated the process of summer training
and final placements, ensuring that students receive
ample opportunities in finance, accounting, marketing,
sales, IT, and research domains.

Beyond placement opportunities, the cell is dedicated


to the comprehensive development of students by
organizing various training sessions and workshops
focused on personality development. This dual
approach of providing both placement and personal
growth opportunities positions SGGSCC students for
success in their future careers.

The Placement Session for 2023-24 achieved significant


milestones. A total of 305+ offer letters were extended
to students from diverse academic backgrounds, with
the participation of over 90 recruiters including Deloitte,
PwC, KPMG, Zomato, TresVista, Oxane Partners, EXL,
WTW, DE Shaw & Co, RSA & many more. The college
achieved remarkable statistics, with the highest salary
package at INR 23 LPA, an average CTC of INR 5.3 LPA,
and a median CTC of INR 5.2 LPA. The total gross
package offered was INR 16.32 Crores.

The internship session for 2023-24 also saw significant


achievements, with an average stipend of INR 11.28K, a
median stipend of INR 10K, and the highest stipend
reaching INR 75K. Over 90 recruiters participated,
securing a substantial number of high-quality
internships.

With the commencement of the upcoming session, we


are honored to invite our esteemed recruiters to
continue their partnership with us. We anticipate
another outstanding placement season and look
forward to achieving new milestones.

PLACEMENT PREP BOOTCAMP


The Bootcamp featured Mr. Sumit Agrawal and
27 & 28 June attracted over 300 students. The session focused
2023 on vital aspects of resume building, such as
format, length, ATS optimization, keywords, and
communication skills.

CRACKING GUESSTIMATES
Mr. Kashish Malhotra led a session on "Cracking
29 July Guesstimates", explaining consulting types, case
2023 study vs guesstimate differences, and a 6-step
approach to solving guesstimates. He shared tricks,
examples (McDonald's sales, DTC bus distance).

19 Aug HOW TO ACE THE CASE COMPETITIONS


Mr. Akhilesh Pendkande led a session on case
2023
competitions, sharing strategies and benefits like
industry exposure and networking. He provided
resources (UNSTOP, METTL, LinkedIn) for finding
corporate case competitions.

CAREERS IN FINANCE
Mr. Aswini Bajaj's session on "Careers in Finance,"
05 Sept covered finance fundamentals, various fields of
2023 finance, applications across industries, exam
preparation strategies, and included an interactive
Q&A.

INTERNSHIPS AS A CAREER CATALYST


Mr. Parth Chawla led an illuminating online session
02 Oct attended by over 75 students. The session covered CV
2023 formation, key CV components, the importance of
internships and strategies for securing them, including
leveraging smaller companies and cold emailing.
TRAINING SESSIONS

HOW TO BUILD A STRONG LINKEDIN PROFILE


Ms. Nikita Gupta led a session on building strong
04 Nov LinkedIn profiles, highlighting its significance in job
2023 searches and networking. Students learned about
profile setup, optimization, and networking
strategies.

ALL ABOUT CONSULTING


Mr. Akshay Sirsalewala led a two-day online session
22 & 23 Nov on acing guesstimates, crafting impactful CVs, and
2023 cracking consulting interviews. The session covered
CV tips, guesstimate strategies, case study
frameworks, and HR interview preparation.

28 Nov TIPS TO CRACK YOUR DREAM JOB

PGP IN ACOUNTING & AUDITING


The session featured speakers Mr. Sahil Nayar, Mr.
09 Feb Arun Babbar, and Ms. Varsha Dhandhania, who
2024 discussed practical Accounting and Auditing skills,
shared KPMG experiences, and highlighted the PGP
course's job market relevance.

DECODING TOP MANAGEMENT CAREERS


Mr. Aalekh Tripathi covered essential strategies like
24 Feb developing leadership skills, mastering strategic
decision-making, and building a strong professional
2024 network. It outlined steps for career progression,
navigating corporate hierarchies, and securing
executive roles.
