Week’s Summary
Days / Time 4 Days
SSA-Smart Study Academics was the session I attended. In this session, I gained
knowledge about a variety of time management techniques, particularly those
designed for students with special needs. Additionally discussed was the idea of
money and banking, which gave readers a fundamental grasp of how banks work.
Monday
(10am – 2pm)
A practical demonstration of the value of patience was also included in the
session. In order to improve task execution, talks were also held about how to
form cohesive groups and foster rapport among team members. A wealth of
knowledge and useful skills for both professional and personal development were
covered in this extensive session.
Had the opportunity to observe children with ADHD, ASD, and ID in various
settings. During their play and study sessions, I closely monitored their
interactions, learning patterns, and behaviors. I also observed therapy sessions
Tuesday with clients experiencing recurring negative thoughts, noting their responses to
( 10 am – 2pm) different therapeutic techniques .I documented these observations in detailed
reports, which I submitted to the organization for review.
I went to an emotional intelligence workshop. We were each given assignments
to illustrate our finest and worst moments. By doing this, we discovered things
that we were previously ignorant of but that still caused us pain. In addition, we
Wednesday were instructed to make three circles and list the names of the people in our lives
( 10am – 2pm) who we value most and those who we don't. We gained more knowledge about
our boundaries as a result of this exercise. Reputable psychologists also taught us
how to establish rapport with our clients.
I observed a session and looked over a client's ASD file. The client's issues were
that he rarely spoke and that when he did, he used only two or three words. He
keeps saying the same thing. When he doesn't get what he wants, he acts very
aggressively. In addition, he is incredibly inattentive and rarely makes eye
Thursday contact. I looked over the kinds of tests that were given, and I spoke with a clinic
(2.30pm – 7pm) supervisor in-depth about the case. My knowledge of clinical evaluations and
interventions was improved by this experience, which gave me insightful
knowledge about the difficulties faced by people with similar problems and the
diagnostic process itself.
