OBJECTIVES

At the end the end of the session, students should be:

A. Supply interjections in explaining the pictures posted on the board;

B. Identify and define the meaning of interjection based on their answers

C. Recognize interjections in sentence;

D. Match interjection to its appropriate emotion;

E. Construct sentences and use appropriate interjection; and use interjection to convey meaning.

1. Post three picture on the board. These are the following picture

2. Then ask representative from the class to answer to the following questions.

a. For the first picture, what do you think is the picture all about.

b. What if you are in this situation and witness

C. Presentation of the Lesson:

What is interjection?

An interjection is a part of speech that express that express strong feeling or sudden emotion. It
expresses a sentiment such as surprise, disgust, joy, excitement or enthusiasm .These words or phrase
can stand alone or be placed before or after a sentence. Many times an interjection is followed by
punctuation mark, often an exclamation point.

EXAMPLES:

Example 1: Wow

Example 2: Hooray

Example :Oh my Gosh


D. Enhancement

Post on the boards the different emojis. Then, teacher let the student match the correct interjection
with the appropriate emoji.

Wow, Whoa Expressing amazement
Shhhhhh Telling someone to be quiet
Ouch, Ow Expressing pain
Hmmm Expressing hesitation, doubt or disagreement
Grrrr Expressing anger
Bravo, Congratulations, Finally Expressing approval
Ugh, Urgh Expressing discontent
Yahoo, Yes, Yipee, Hooray, Yehey Expressing joy
Eeeek, Oh No!, Oh! Expressing fear

lV. EVALUATION

On a one half sheet of paper, students should construct sentences with appropriate
interjections on it. Use the interjections posted on the board. Refer to the table above.

V. ASSIGNMENT

On a long bondpaper, create a comic strip. Be sure to include interjections that matches the scene you
portray per scene.
