PROBLEM AND ITS SCOPE
INTRODUCTION
RATIONALE OF THE STUDY
Disposal of waste means the collection, sorting, transport, and treatment
of waste as well as its storage and tipping above or underground. The transformation
operations necessary for its re-use, recovery or recycling (Feb. 26, 2019).
Reducing garbage will help the environment while also saving money or
lowering disposal costs. It protects the environment from the harmful impacts of the
organic and inorganic materials found in garbage.
One of the most important aspects of maintaining a beautiful and healthy
environment is keeping our school clean. By disposing of waste properly, we can
protect the environment, the health of Aloguinsan National High School students, and
those who reside in our community. We can also contribute to the improvement of air
quality.
The disease can spread across the ecosystem due to improper waste
management. The number of kids and teachers that get sick can be decreased by
keeping the school sanitary and preventing the spread of disease. Following the 5Rs
of waste management will help us avoid this improper waste disposal and reduce the
danger of sickness in individuals who come into contact with the rubbish. The 5 R's of
trash management will prevent us from wasting resources if we adhere to them.

In addition to lowering greenhouse gas emissions, proper waste removal aids in
enhancing the quality of the air, water, and environment. It reduces the amount of
resources that must be extracted, as well as the pollution and energy use that come
with producing new materials. The preservation of the environment and the general
welfare of the populace are two of the most important advantages of waste
management.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
This study is specifically answered the following questions:
1. Do you disposed your waste properly? How?
2. Is it important to maintain the cleanliness in our campus? Why?
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
The study essentially convey different benefits to the following:
Students: Students can also engage with their local community and learn about
environmental challenges while adopting sustainable living habits .
Parents: Parents can help their children develop sustainable habits that benefit the
environment and the community by promoting responsible waste management
habits.
Teachers: Teachers can use waste disposal activities to educate their students about
environmental responsibility and encourage them to adopt responsible waste
management habits
Visitors: For the visitors they improve their experience and promoting positive image
of the area
Staff: Collectively contribute to the effective functioning and success of the
educational Institution.

SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS
This study will focus on waste disposal problems and proposed solutions in
Aloguinsan National High School, covering the availability of waste disposal facilities,
awareness and education, accessibility, environmental regulations, and cost. It will
not cover the effects of waste disposal on the environment or the health risks
associated with improper waste disposal. Furthermore, this study will not address
potential solutions to the problems related to waste disposal in Aloguinsan National
High School.
DEFINITION OF TERMS
To facilitate the understanding of this study, different terms are defined herein.
Collection: In this study, this term refers to the act of removing the solid waste from
the source or form a communal storage point.
Disposal: use in this study, this refers to the discharge deposit, dumping, spilling,
leaking or placing of any solid waste into or in any land.
Recycling: It shall refer to the treating of used or waste materials through a process
of making them suitable for beneficial use and for other purposes, and includes any
process by which solid waste materials are transformed into new products in such a
manner that the original products may lose their identity, and which may be used as
raw materials for the production of other goods or services.

CHAPTER 3
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
This chapter presents the research design and methodology to give information about
the waste disposal problems and proposed solution in Aloguinsan National High School.
Research Design
This research uses a quantitative approach of data analysis and presentation. It is
thoroughly defined as factual mechanism which assisted the researchers to come up with
the veracious outcomes, understandings and to be disciplined. The researchers also
utilized the grounded theory approach since it educed the positive perceptions of the
Teachers, Parents, Visitors and students regarding to the waste disposal problem and
proposed solution here in our School. Wherein the researchers made an interview and
questioners distribution to assemble the needed data that are relevant to this study.

RESEARCH ENVIRONMENT
This research is conducted at entire premises (campus) of Aloguinsan National High
school. In Poblacion, Aloguinsan, Cebu, from Municipality of Aloguinsan, it takes 39
km before the arrival.

The researchers can select the students of Aloguinsan National High School. The
respondents will be randomly selected in each grade level.
