I.OBJECTIVES
At the end of a 60 minute period, students are expected to:
a. Discuss the nature of non-communicable diseases.
b. Explain non-communicable disease based on cause and effect, signs and symptoms,
risk factors and protective factors and possible complications.
c. Promote programs and policies to prevent and control non-communicable diseases

3. Cardiovascular disease is the disease of the heart and blood vessels.
4. Arthritis refers to the inflammation of joints.
5. Asthma is a misguided reaction to foreign substances by the immune system.
