o Where thickness is flimsy use ¾’’ screw or pop rivet e.g. sheet to sheet, trim
to trim.
o Where thickness is not homogeneous used 1’’ or 2’’ screw.
o 2’’ screw ------------ Roof Sheeting
i. along the purlin ( distance between two screw 205 mm for 830 mm &
1030 mm sheeting)
ii. along the purlin ( distance between two screw 190 mm for 760 mm
sheeting)

o 1.5’’ screw ------------ Decking

i. along the joist a screw line is consider and along the decking lapping ,
we should consider extra screw line ( distance between two screw 253
mm) .so total screw line will be joist line+ lapping line
ii. Stitching line should be consider.( one line in each break)

o 1’’ screw ------------ (side + gable) wall sheeting, vertical faccia, drop down
fascia, soffit.
i. along the Girt ( distance between two screw 205 mm for 820 mm &
1025 mm sheeting)
ii. along the Girt ( distance between two screw 190 mm for 760 mm
sheeting)
iii. gable capping ( 2 nos along the girth (roof high rib + wall high rib))
iv. gutter & roof
v. gable & sheet.

o 3/4’’ screw ------------ trim+gutter+flashing+gutter strip

i. gutter strip------ successive distance 410 mm( screw per strip 3 nos)
ii. drip trim----------periphery length/500= screw nos.
iii. down pipe clamp----------successive screw distance 1300 mm *2
iv. roof ---------stitching (nos of sheet x nos of purlin)
v. in sky light-----for flat bar and sky light angle.
vi. Soffit U trims
vii. Spacer trim
FOR ALL TYPES OF TRIM CONNECTIVITY (3/4’’= 10% of 1’’ screw)

o pop rivet-----------for stitching lapping [ 1 box=1000 pcs pop rivet]

i. per joint or lapping (gutter) = 10x2=20 pcs
ii. end of gutter = 12 pcs
iii. per down pipe clamp = 2 pcs
iv. all types of capping; pop rivet = per lapping 10 nos.( 1 row)
v. at gutter & down pipe joint--------10 pcs
vi. down pipe joint = 6~8 pcs.
vii. Down pipe bent = 6 pcs
viii. Spacer trim lapping = 3 pcs (1 row)
ix. Gable cap lapping = 5 pcs (1 row)
x. Hood trim = lapping 10 pcs (1 row) & end 10 pcs ( 2 end).
xi. Pop rivet per ridge vent-----------65 pcs
Now pop rivet is used in every trims lapping.
o PE Foam
i. Standard width---1000 mm ; effective width--950 mm.(Lapping 50 mm)
ii. Measured inclined length[(ridge to eave line)*2+150+150)]
iii. Length/950
iv. Quantity (roll) = [inclined length * building length /950] / 50000

o Single bubble with both side aluminum (woven type) /

Alumn foil with Doubble Bubble
i. Standard width = 1175 mm : effective width = 1075 mm. lapping-100
mm.
ii. Thickness =0.4 ~0.5 mm
iii. Stapler pin provided in every lapping that is normal to the purlin and
successive pin spacing is 40 mm [ 1 box=1000 pcs stapler pin ]
iv. Quantity (roll) = [inclined length * building length /1075] / 40000
v. Both way tape used only in side wall, avoid end wall.

o Glass wool
i. Both way tape---Alone the building length x 5 nos = x 1.02/10000 =
total [ nos]
ii. Standard width = 1200 mm ; effective width = 1100 mm ;lapping-100
mm; length =20 m
o Foam Closure
Where there are any provision for water seepage and misfitting, foam closure
should be utilized?.
i. Use in
 Along the Eave line------ each eave line contains 2
lines of closure (it may be 1 line---consult).
 Along the Gable line.-----1 line
 Along the parapet flashing.( depends on canopy
condition)
ii. Inside foam closure Length= 1050 mm ; width = 30 mm ;
Outside foam closure Length= 1050 mm ; width = 30 mm ;

iii. INSIDE FOAM CLOSURE-

Eave strut & roof sheeting.
Wall Sheeting & parapet flashing,

iv. OUTSIDE FOAM CLOSURE-

RIDGE LINE (in between sheeting &
capping or ridge vent).if ridge panel is
used need not provide foam clousure.
Sheeting & sheeting angle(roof monitor),
Gable trim & end wall panel.
Vertical fascia with eave gutter &
soffit(with soffit edge trim & side wall panel)
o Both way tape
i. For PE foam; along the eave line & ridge line and gable line both way
tape is used, so we consider 6 track line for tape.
ii. For double bubble insulation Both way tape provided along the eave
line
iii. For sky light and ridge ventilation both way tape length will be the 50%
of periphery length of sky light and ridge vent.
o Silicon sealant
i. 1 pcs for 15 nos down pipe
ii. 1 pcs for 3 gutter joint
iii. 1 Pcs for 15 Ridge cap joint
iv. 1 Pcs for 20 Gable cap joint
v. roof = assumption

o bed mastic
i. 1 roll = 10 m
ii. only use in valley gutter joint and use in spice plate
iii. quantity (roll) = [no of joint * girth of gutter * 2] /10000

o Ridge vent
i. Wind bend( roof)------1 ridge vent---30 pcs------2’’ screw
